Hello from Rogersville, MO. It’s been a lovely week of weather in my little neck of the woods. How about yours?
Miscellany:
1. Let’s start with puppy exhaustion. Friends, I’m officially among the “walking dead.” 😂😂 I’m so tired. Charger has officially been listed for adoption, and our foster rep is reviewing the applications. While we don’t feel ready for another dog, it will be sad to see him go (especially since we’ve done the hard work. haha).
This Tuesday will mark one month since we picked him up at the intake facility. He truly is the sweetest boy. He gets neutered this week and could be placed in his forever home after Thanksgiving. We’re potty training him on the call bell, like with Parker.
2. The family saw The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever this past week. It was so good. I laughed and cried. It’s such a great story and a wholesome movie. I highly recommend it. I give it 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3. Steve and I had a date night on Wednesday at the Blue Room Comedy Club to see Dustin Nickerson. I enjoyed the show, and it was nice to get out of the house and laugh.
I ordered their Chicken Nachos and forgot to ask for no jalapenos. Oops! It was hard to pick them off because the room was pretty dark. Hot and spicy foods do not play nice with me, haha.
4. Did you see the sparkly wooden gift tags I shared earlier this week? If you love glitter and glam, you’ll LOVE this project. They would make an excellent craft for a girl’s night.
5. My parents’ sweet dog, Bella, has appeared on the blog over the years. You can see her in this canine anxiety post. And in my Shiplap Ornament Display post (scroll down a bit).
She’s 14 years old and will cross the rainbow bridge next week. We’re all so sad. I know how difficult this decision is for my parents, especially after losing our Buster (2020) and, a year later, losing our Parker. If you’re a woman of prayer, please keep my parents (and my brother) in your prayers.
6. Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? This year, it’s my turn to host, but I think I’m ready for the most part. We bought our Turkey this week for 0.77¢/pound. It’s a 16-pound turkey. Not too shabby, right?
I’ll draft a menu and talk to the family about everyone bringing some things. The tablescape will be similar to the tablescape I shared in September.

7. Seint had its Holiday Releases yesterday! There are so many amazing new products and palettes. One of them is an eyeshadow advent calendar. If you’re a makeup junkie or have a family member who is — snag one if they’re still available. I can provide a sneak peek at the color if you’d like. Comment below or shoot me an e-mail.
8. With the cooler temperatures finally sticking around, I made my first batch of chili of the season. This Three-Bean Chili is my fave, and I made a double batch of jiffy corn muffins. YUM!
9. I got my second shingle shot yesterday. Fun, right? I’ve been told that the side effects can take about 24 hours to hit. I’m praying for minimal side effects. Send some good vibes my way. Mmmmkay? Growing older problems. Ha!
