I have to say that this is my absolute favorite time of the year — Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanksgiving is like the cocktail hour before the BIG par-tay at Christmas. And this year I think it’s going to be even better. Why? Well, I’m certainly not going to let what has to be one of the weirdest years of my life put a damper on my holiday.
As a matter of fact, this year I hope to be more intentional about the season. For example, I plan on doing a puzzle, taking some more time off from work, make more memories with my husband, and more.
My parents stopped by today and my mom said she just wasn’t feeling it. I was like, “Wait. What? You’re hosting Christmas this year.”
Now that my decor is up and I’m preparing to host our small family Thanksgiving — I’m all in for the holidays. I’m playing Christmas music every day and lighting all of my Balsam Fir candles. ‘Tis the season, friends… ’tis the season.
The thankful heart opens our eyes to a multitude
of blessings that continually surround us.

So, last month I shared my Thanksgiving tablescape. The only thing that was missing was my Thanksgiving Word Search. And, in short, I almost forgot to share it with you. Gasp.
If you’re a regular reader, then you know that I’ve been sharing word searches for all the holidays throughout the year. Apparently, I’m saving the day just in time for all of our Thanksgiving celebrations (and the crowds go wild). Woo-hoo.
I love creating these word searches as squares, sized at 4.75″ x 4.75″. It’s small enough to have some versatility and makes a great favor/activity to set at each place setting for dinner. In addition, you could add a piece of kraft cardstock or any other color to frame the Thanksgiving Word Search nicely if you’d like (or not).
Regardless of how you put it to use, I’m wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving. Whether your celebration is big or small, take the time to pause and give thanks for all that you have — both big and small.
