Happy hellos from my home to yours. Today we’re looking at partly cloudy skies with a chance of me working most of the weekend. Haha.

The black-and-white picture above captures my whole world: my husband and our dogs on a stroll at twilight/dusk. I’m becoming increasingly sentimental with age.

Miscellany:

1. I know it’s been a little quiet around here. The week of the 16th was a rough one. I got a tension headache on Monday night so bad that I honestly thought I was going to have to go to the ER (or worse).

That little booger lingered the rest of the week with light sensitivity, etc. I tried to rest and relax as much as possible that week.

2 I recently received a special delivery from the King of Christmas. Eeeeks! Nash was so excited that he wanted to check out the goods with me.

On Monday, I’ll be sharing a little Christmas in July fun with you. Stay tuned.

3. Now that I’m going to the gym on a regular basis, I’ve been listening to podcasts again. Do you listen to podcasts? Have any suggestions? I enjoy self-development and/or true crime.

It’s been a while, but I’ve been catching up on some episodes of Up and Vanished. I really appreciate Payne Lindsey and his approach to investigative journalism surrounding missing people.

4. I’ve had a reunion with Braum’s Soft Frozen Yogurt. And don’t get me wrong, I will always prefer an Andy’s Peanut Butter Sundae, but when I’m watching what I eat — a Braum’s Soft Frozen Yogurt twist will win.

With the heat, I feel like I crave ice cream a lot. Haha. Not good, I know.

If you have a Braum’s nearby, treat yourself to a frozen yogurt twist (or a banana split, whatever suits your fancy). Mmmmkay?

5. I’m no spring chicken, but I bought an outfit on the TikTok shop. Haha. I haven’t posted anything over there, but I do occasionally like to check out some of the videos and the TikTok Shop. I’ve bought makeup, makeup brushes… and now clothes.

It started with the Easy Tiger shirt. Then, I saw a girl wearing it with the pants, and they seemed to embody my motto: cute and comfy! Yes, and amen.

6. The beach has been on my mind a lot lately — a LOT. I pray every day that we get another travel trailer so that we can head to the beach more regularly with our dogs and be amongst our things. Haha. I’m such a germaphobe.

My joy is found in watching sunrises and sunsets, walking on the beach, and sitting under an umbrella while reading a good book. Some people say when it comes to the beach, you’re either a water or sand person. I’m officially the sand person.

When we used to go to St. Martin, I was the perfect mix of both. I would cool off in the water and bask in the sun on the beach. A little basal cell carcinoma and sun damage can really change your perspective on some things.

Anywho, I saw a sign recently that inspired me to make this… (insert BIG, CHEESY smile).

7. Any high-protein drink seekers out there? I just ordered some Flavcity Protein Smoothie Powder to try. I am sooooo excited to try the Butter Coffee over ice. YUM! Vanilla powder can also be used in a variety of recipes. Stay tuned. I’ll keep you posted.

8. We Were Liars. I read the book a while back and really enjoyed it, even if it was incredibly sad. Then Amazon Prime Video recently released it as a TV series. It was fantastic, too.

It’s a psychological thriller, and I highly recommend reading and/or watching the series. Just keep tissues on hand. You’ve been warned.

8. Happy July 4th (a little early). We’ll also be celebrating my husband’s 58th birthday. So, double the celebration. Do you have any fun plans?
