"That’ll Do Pig"

I probably should have blogged about this weeks ago, but it kept slipping my mind.  When my in-laws were in town, we made a quick run to Walmart to pick a few things up.  Steve and Kelvin went in one direction and Jeannette and I went in another.  I found what Jeannetts was looking for and asked if what I found would work. Her response was, “that’ll do pig.”  I stood there in complete shock and thought to myself, “did she just call me a pig?”  I politely asked her what she just said.  She repeated herself not thinking twice about it, but quickly put the connection with the movie Babe.  Jeannette explained to me that she and Kelvin say that to each other all the time.  I couldn’t help but chuckle and told her that I thought she called me a pig.  We had a good hardy laugh in the aisle and shared our story with the guys.  Of course this line became a popular one throughout the rest of the visit (amongst many others).  For example:  Yes, Kelly — you can get rolls.  Very few of you will get that, but it’s a long, hysterical story.

A week or two after their visit, I got a package in the mail — it was a copy of the Babe DVD with a note that said, “That’ll do pig.  Enjoy!”  BIG SMILE.  Thank you Jeannette and Kelvin!  Let’s continue our journey….. living and laughing.
keep living and laughing, friends.
