Springfield on a Saturday

This past Saturday, Kristine had a photo shoot in Republic, MO (which is only 10-15 minutes from Springfield) — so we all decided to split the gas and take a road trip. All six of us piled into the car to head out to Springfield for the day.  Six?  Huh?  Yepper, I said all six of us.  Kristine, Sydney, Steve, Buster, Parker and I all piled into Kristine’s car.  We took the doggies so they could get out for a bit too.  (Yes, we know, they’re spoiled rotten).  We dropped them off at a doggy daycare facility  in Springfield that we used when we used to live there and they’re usually wiped out when we pick them up too.  Par-tay.  Kudos to my kiddos, they were real troopers all cramped up in their car seat (not to mention the love-hate relationship between Parker and Buster. Lord help us all). Sydney got to sit on her Mommy’s lap most of the way. They (Kristine and Sydney) were our quietest passengers. Smile.

There were two highlights to this trip:  1) Sushi at Haruno’s (Random Fact:  Steve and I ate there on our first date).   I  love, love, love their sushi — particularly their Sex in the City roll and the Oh My God Roll (which comes out in flames, literally).  We tried the vegetarian avocado roll this time and it was also yummo.  2) A Peanut Butter Sundae from Andy’s. My mouth waters just thinking of that yummy sweet treat.  LOL.  Of course we made a few other stops and checked in on my mom and dad’s house, but these two stops were the bomb-diggity.   Overall, it was an extremely exhausting day, but well worth the exhaustion!
keep living and laughing, friends.
