I had a fairly eventful weekend.  I assisted my sister with a photo shoot on Saturday, and then drove to Springfield with her on Sunday for two others.  I enjoy helping out where I can — I am her biggest cheerleader, ya know??  🙂

On Sunday morning, I was up at 4:15 a.m. preparing for our departure at 5:30 a.m.  I’d say the trip went VERY well, except for the Narcotics cop that pulled Kristine over for speeding. She was going 78 in a 70 zone.  He so nicely let her know that it ticked him off that she passed him.  Rolling eyes.  Thank God for warnings, as I’m afraid a ticket would have put quite a wrinkle in a certain someones mood (you know who you are.  hee-hee).
Our first photo shoot was at 9:30 a.m. at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park.  Can I just say that this park was pretty stinkin’ awesome?  It has an animal barn with miniature horses, goats, pigs, sheep, cows, chickens and rabbits.  There are demonstration crop gardens, a fishing pond and a farm-themed playground.  For my Sprinfield readers, you must get your kiddos out there.  I felt like a kid all over again enjoying all that this place had to explore — farm animals are amazing to me.  I think that’s the city girl in me 🙂  The family Kristine was photographing had two little girls — and watching them with the animals just made me smile.  Here are a few pics of what you might find at the Rutledge-Wilson Farm:

We had enough time to grab a quick bite to eat at Mr. Goodcents (YUM!) and grab my absolutely-positively favorite dessert in Springfield — Andy’s Peanut Butter Sundae.  {Insert Drool Here}.  We then met up with a dear friend of mine from college to take her engagement pictures, Mary Glenn.  We don’t see each other enough, so it was a blast getting to be there for this session.  Mary and Lee make a super cute couple.
Here I’m capturing the photographer capturing them 🙂  Great photo shoot location too…
keep living and laughing, friends.
