fall picture of small pumpkins and gourds in a basket on a plai fall blanket

Hidey ho, neighbor. It’s good to see you. I’m tickled silly that the highs around here today are going to be 77º F. Unfortunately, it comes with a high probability of rain, but we desperately need it. Sooooo, no complaints here. It’s more of a YAY! (see #5 below)

Miscellany:

1. It’s been a heavy week. Many of you know where I stand spiritually, and Charlie Kirk’s death has me doing a lot of thinking. I’ve also been doing a lot of soul searching. And I need to get back to studying my bible and not just reading a devotional now and then.

If you’re interested in reading/studying the Word but don’t have a Bible, please reach out to me. I would be more than happy to send one to you.

Our country is so divided, and my heart is heavy. I am praying for unity and love to overwhelm each and every one of us.

2. This week, I did both classes (Golden Physiques and Yoga) on both Tuesday and Thursday. The Golden Physiques is all about strengthening our core. I enjoy the circuit training we do in this class. And I’m really enjoying the yoga. I’m usually a little sore, but I’m hoping that will subside as my body adjusts.

After Yoga on Thursday, about seven of us went to lunch. It was nice to learn a little more about each of them. Most of them are seniors and retired. There are a few of us who are in our 40s and 50s. It’s a wonderfully mixed group of women — and we all have fun.

3. Did you happen to see my new post about our trip to Colorado Springs? If not, be sure to check it out — so many beautiful sites.

4. Being the TV buff that I am, I was super sad to see the series The Summer I Turned Pretty come to an end. However, I’ve been #teamconrad for the longest time and was thrilled with the ending.

After watching the series finale, I did see an announcement that there will be a movie to finalize the series and give Belly the ending she deserves. YAY!!

Are any of you fans of the series?

5. Find the Yay in Every Day. Life is full of ordinary moments, but tucked inside each of those moments is a spark of joy just waiting to be noticed. I want to challenge you to find the yay in every day — whether it’s the sound of your dog’s paws on the floor, the golden light pouring through the window, or that first sip of coffee that makes you sigh with relief.

The big celebrations matter, of course, but it’s the small, often overlooked delights that turn regular days into meaningful ones. When you start looking for them, the world feels a little lighter, a little brighter, and a whole lot more hopeful.

6. If you happen to be thinking about stocking up on your skincare products for the colder weather, you might want to check out this Winter Skin Prep Deal Collection from Pomifera. It’s only available for a limited time and offers significant savings of $29.

I have and use all of these products alongside all of my serums. Honestly, my skin is healthier than ever… and will stay that way all winter long.
