What dishes come to mind when you hear the words comfort food?  Pizza?  Hamburgers?  Pasta?  Your favorite dessert?  A lot of my favorite dishes come to mind and quiche is towards the top.  My mom made lots of quiches when we were growing up — and, well, those recipes have to stay in the family!  I have quite a few and I can’t seem to keep track of what ones I’ve made or not — I mean, they’re all dee-lish.  Recently, I partnered with Kraft and made this Hamburger Quiche and apparently I hadn’t mad this one yet.  My husband flipped!  He took leftovers to work the next day and text me, “I could eat quiche every day!”  Ha!  Of course I was glowing.  We always like to hear that our meals are “family approved.”  So, today I’m sharing this family favorite that I’ve been enjoying for years:  Hamburger Quiche.

Hello, I made this for dinner last night. I thought it called for 1 pound of hamburger so I cooked the hamburger and onion together with salt seasoning (magic mushroom powder from nom nom paleo) then checked the recipe and found out it only takes a half pound hamburger so I made two 🙂 and I am so glad I did! This stuff is awesome! I even had it for breakfast today 🙂 At first I had the idea of making a hash brown crust instead of pie crust but it was getting to late to experiment. I have never made a hash brown crust before, would you have any ideas on how to? I think it would be a good idea to replace the hamburger with sausage and make it for breakfast with the hash browns 🙂 Thank you for such a great recipe 🙂

Awesome sauce! I am sooooo excited you liked it. It’s an all time favorite around here. I’ve never mad a hash brown crust either — but that paired with sausage sounds like perfection. Thanks so much for letting me know you tried it -and- loved it, making two was probably the best decision ever. Enjoy and Hugs!

    Do you pre-bake your crust?
