Zesty Shrimp Avocado Salad
To clarify, I love salads. Sometimes they’re not on the healthy side, like the Chicken Tender Salad with an amazing ranch dressing from Cheddar’s. Likewise, a Ceasar Salad can be a little unhealthier too. That’s to blame on the dressing, cheese, and croutons. But boy are they good (fist bump).
However, if I’m passing up a fried dish, french fries, or pasta — I usually feel a lot less guilty. It’s a healthier choice, even if it’s not the healthiest one. Does that make sense? Ha… I’m sitting here chuckling at my insane justification, even if it does seem plausible.
Delicious and Healthy Shrimp Avocado Salad
On the other hand, there are several delicious and healthy salads (like this Zesty Shrimp Avocado Salad) to choose from too. Thank goodness, right? A favorite I make at home is the Taco Salad. But, it seems I haven’t made that in a while. I need to add that to the menu soon.
While writing about salads, I was thinking about the woven wood salad serving bowl and matching salad bowls my mom used to have. Dorothy Draper said, “Salad is never more appetizing than when served in a large wooden bowl.”
That made me smile. I love when happy memories overwhelm me every now and then. My parents entertained a lot, so that wooden bowl was used a lot. Back on topic…

How many does this serve / 2?
Kelly Rowe says
Hi Mary Anne! The serving size depends on how you want to serve it. This salad can be served as two smaller lunches or appetizer salads — or a large full meal salad. Hope that helps. Cheers.
