Happy hellos from a rather spring-like day here in Missouri!
Miscellany:
1. Since the last time we caught up, I had my semi-annual Dermatologist appointment. Guess what? No biopsies transpired. And we’re going back to yearly exams again. Hallelujah. 🙌🏻
They did prescribe Azelaic Acid to help with my rosacea. Time will tell. For now, I’m grateful for another good report. I’m officially in my skincare era. No more damage, Kelly!
I’ve been told that I need to wear an SPF with zinc oxide on my face every day. So, I do. I was using CeraVe, but I’ve recently found that I really like DRMTLGY — there’s no white residue and it plays well with my Seint makeup. One pump goes a long way too.
Regardless, zinc oxide is the winning ingredient. Please make sure it’s in your SPF. This comes from a dermatologist, not me. Mmmkay?
2. I saw this article sharing some summer outfit ideas. Maybe I’m getting old because I laughed at 90% of them. However, number 07 spoke to me. I’m there for it.
3. We’ve discovered that Bentley has separation anxiety from Nashville. We took Nash for a groom and then dropped Bentley off at doggy daycare. Bless his heart, he whimpered the entire drive between the two facilities. Do you think he’ll grow out of it?
4. The Wild Robot. Did you see this movie? I watched it on Peacock last weekend and loved it. It started a little slow, but then everything changed. It was so good. If I’m being honest, I love cartoons. And, yes, I cried at the end.
I told Steve that if I were to die young, I would want the song Even When I’m Not played during the slideshow of pictures at my celebration of life.
5. This past Friday, I was so excited to surpass the 10-pound milestone. YES!
Every Friday, I get up, check my weight from the previous week (I can’t remember to save my life. LOL), pee, and then weigh. When I got on the scale, I thought there was an error. I was down 3 pounds. I’ve officially lost 11.4 pounds.
The last couple of weeks have been hard. I needed this win.

7. Are allergies in your area on the rise? They’ve been so bad around here that a lot of people have been going to urgent care thinking it’s the flu. NOPE! It’s being referenced as Cedar Fever.
My parents have been suffering BIG time — and my mom said their street is full of Juniper trees. Interesting, right?
8. I’ve been doing some retail therapy. Here are a few of my recent purchases:
- This Hooded Pull-Over Sweater. Obsessed!
- These High-Waisted Wide-Leg Crop Leggings (chefs kiss)
- This Button-Down Linen-Blend Shirt (I love linen).
- Midi T-shirt dress (in Heather Gray Stripe)
- This Floral Maxi Dress.
- I bought a second one of these tops! Oversized and comfy for the win.
9. Funny story (about clothes shopping). I had lunch with my sister last week at Cracker Barrel. After we ate, we browsed the store. I saw the cutest dress and thought, why not? I’ve never bought clothing at Cracker Barrel and I usually don’t like buying clothes without trying them on. GULP. I decided to just buy it and confirmed the return policy while checking out.
When I got home, I tried it on and it was darling. I strolled out of the bedroom and said, “Steve, I did something I’ve never done before. I bought a dress at Cracker Barrel.” Steve was like, “You what?” I could hear the skepticism in his voice. Haha.
He turned around, saw the dress, and smiled with surprise.
Seeeeee, I told you it was darling.

Happy Spring Kelly!
Great job on the weight loss! LOL, I love shopping at Cracker Barrel. They have the cutest things. About the rosacea, I had it for years. If I ate anything spicy it flared up -even with the cream from the Dermatologist I was using everyday. Then I figured out if my skin started getting red to just do an oatmeal mask (just oatmeal and water) and it worked! You asked us about the shirt extenders, don’t think I’d wear them. I am interested in making the No bake protein balls and the gyro bowls.
