A non-alcoholic punch recipe that is a refreshing drink year-round. Prepare to hear the clinking of glasses at your next party, shower or family gathering. Pink Lady Punch is a fantastic option for a crowd too.
This punch is the real deal, friends. It’s sweet, fruity — and whether you dress it up or not, it’s sure to be enjoyed by all.
Let’s toast to celebrations!
On several occasions I’ve talked about the awesome recipe box I got at my wedding shower. Handwritten recipes from friends and family filled the box with desserts, snacks, drinks, main dishes and more.
One of the amazing (non-alcoholic) drink recipes was Pink Lady Punch. My mom told me it was her mom’s favorite. Sharing some of her recollections seemed appropriate, so I asked her what she remembered about this family favorite.
“My Mom didn’t throw a lot of parties when I was growing up. However, when she did they were always special. I remember all the goodies and drinks she would make. Pink Lady Punch was her absolute favorite.
As a matter of fact, she made this for me on two very special occasions. Can you guess which two? My High School Graduation and my Bridal Shower. As a result, this punch has become a favorite of mine as well.
Punch bowls were big when I first got married. So this punch recipe has been used for holidays and parties your father and I hosted over the years — including your graduation.”

Pink Lady Punch Recipe
Would you believe that I can remember my high school graduation party like it was yesterday? A large canopy tent was set up in the back yard to provide shade for the guests. And in the front yard was one of the changeable letter signs (with marquee letters). Yep, just like the ones you see in front of a church or school. OMG. It was mortifying and awesome all at the same time.
As you may (or may not) know, I’m an identical twin — so the party was double the fun. My parents spared no expense and the memories will live on in my heart forever, including this amazing punch recipe. Now I’m sitting here wishing I had a picture to share (because my sister and I had matching outfits on and all). My cheeks officially hurt from all the smiling and chuckling I’m doing over here.
Anywho, whether you’re hosting a baby shower, a graduation party or a holiday celebration, this Pink Lady Punch is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. I’m sure this recipe already exists somewhere on the world wide web. However, this is something personal and special, so I wanted to share it with you today.
I did want to mention that I cut the recipe in half and used a pitcher (specifically, this one: Libbey Pitcher) for photographing. While punch bowls may not be as popular as they used to be, there are still plenty of options out there. And who knows, maybe this punch recipe will be passed down to your children someday…
Can you make punch ahead of time?
You can make punch ahead of time; however, no more than one day ahead and preferably the morning of your event. Some punch recipes require adding additional ingredients right before serving, such as this Pink Lady Punch.
How do you make a punch?
Most punch recipes consist of mixing different liquid ingredients into a bowl or pitcher and require chilling.
Non-Alcoholic Punch Recipe Ingredients:
- cranberry juice
- sugar
- pineapple juice or grapefruit juice
- ginger ale, chilled
- cranberries, optional for garnish
- Start by slowly stirring the cranberry juice with the sugar until it’s dissolved.
- Add the pineapple juice and chill until it’s time to serve.
- Pour into punch bowl or pitcher and add ginger ale.
Of course, you can add cranberries for garnish or a slice of pineapple, maybe? It’s delicious nonetheless.

Hi Sandi. I got them several years ago at World Market.

Hey Kelly!
This one is such an amazing drink recipe! I love the light pink color of this pink lady punch. I’m so excited at the idea of giving it a try (hope this weekend). Thank u for this inspiration! You’ve created an amazing blog. I’m so happy I discovered it a couple months ago. I’ll be coming around often. Keep up the good work!

This looks amazing. Any ideas as to what liquor could be mixed in to make it alcoholic?
Gina Schelleman says
This recipe is just the thing for the baby shower I am due to give! However, I’m a little confused as to how much ginger ale is needed. Is it 1-2 litres/ half a litre? Or just two bottles?

Delicious! My sister & I were testing punch recipes for a 50th wedding anniversary party that we’ve been asked to prepare food for. This recipe was the winner – even my 11 y/o son liked it and asked for refills!! We are going to serve it in an American Fostoria punch bowl – no stress there. 🙂

I don’t drink alcohol so I’m always on the lookout for ‘grown up’ non-alcoholic alternatives. I will definitely be making some of the pink lady punch for my next gathering! xxx

I grew up on Pink Lady Punch, my mom made it every year at the holidays. Never met anyone who didn’t like it. Our recipe is slightly different though — instead of four cups of pineapple juice, it’s two cups of pineapple and two cups of white grapefruit juice. And far and away the best ginger ale to use is Canada Dry; other brands I found to be either too strong (Vernor’s) or too weak (Faygo); Canada Dry was the just right taste that I remembered when I started making the punch myself. Unfortunately, for the past 3 years I have not been able to find white grapefruit juice (formerly both Ocean Spray and Kroger’s sold it); Ocean Spray said that there was some kind of shortage and they had switched to a blended white/red variety which made a noticeable taste change and seemed to be sweeter, so I reduced the sugar a bit in the next batch. This year I couldn’t even find the blend and had to buy the ruby red variety, which is even sweeter yet. Not a fan but I saw Krogers said the blend was available for “delivery only”, so maybe some stores had it? There are shortages everywhere in the grocery stores lately, worse than last year. Hopefully next year I’ll be able to find it; I’ll try looking earlier, maybe before Thanksgiving. (On a possibly related side note, I never see Texas grapefruits in the store anymore, which used to be my favorite. Only Florida ones. Something to do with drought conditions the last few years, maybe?)
Sondra says
Does the recipe use unsweetened cranberry juice or or sweetened cranberry cocktail juice?
Kelly Rowe says
Hi Sondra. It’s the sweetened cranberry cocktail juice. Enjoy!

I thought this was good, even though I’m not usually a punch person. I left out the additional sugar and thought it was plenty sweet.
