As a blogger, sometimes it’s incredibly frustrating to know when to share seasonal posts. While pulling this post together, I found that some of my friends are actually working on Christmas Tablescapes. Wha?? So, this Simple Fall Tablescape might be a little late to the game, but I’m hoping you’ll find some inspiration. Best case scenario — you get a free Thankful Printable Bookmark. Yay!
Simple Fall Tablescape
As I’ve mentioned many times before, I love Thanksgiving. I’d have to say this is one of my favorite autumn tablescapes. If you take a look at previous ones, you’ll understand why — I have to admit, my first thought on a couple were, “what was I thinking?” HA!
A few weeks ago, I was at World Market and picked up these plates. Honestly, I bought them for another purpose… ever change plans? I do ALL the time. Nonetheless, it’s fair to say that this tablescape started with these plates.
Pairing them with the wood slices made my heart go pitter patter.
Adding the bookmark (printable below) with the twig pencil and twine, I found these pieces to be a match made in heaven. It came together so beautifully.
I am super excited that my parents are OFFICIALLY retired and living in Springfield, MO. That goes from a 16 hour drive to a 3 hour drive. Holla. I believe we’ll be celebrating together there this year. I’m going to print off the bookmarks and take them with me.
The pumpkins at the bottom of the printable bookmark keep it festive — and I think the clipart complimented the plates perfectly.
I kept the centerpiece simple, using the SKOGSTA Box from Ikea and filling it with gourds, pumpkins and berry stems.
Simple and rustic fit the bill this year for my fall tablescape. I really do love the blues and oranges paired together. What do you think?
I’ve never really shared my dining room makeover — hopefully one day, but my table certainly steals the show! Beautiful raw wood…
Be sure to print off the bookmark. It’s a great way to have your guests jot down what they’re thankful for — and take it with them to use as a bookmark!

Kelly,
Your tablescape is to die for! Well, not die – I’d really like to enjoy it. I love the blues and oranges and the rustic pencils and wood slice chargers! I’m going to plan on getting more large wood slices. What a clever idea and will make Thanksgiving table settings so authentic!

I do like the combination of blue and orange on your table! Those plates are fabulous and look perfect with the way you’ve put everything together. Your bookmark is a unique idea and I love that it is something that can be saved and be a reminder of all that we have to be thankful for. Tying it up with the twig pencil was the right final touch 🙂 Thanks again for allowing me to be a part of this with you girls! Hope you have a very memorable Thanksgiving with your parents.
