Cream mini pumpkin and lit candle styled with autumn leaves and warm fall décor on a wooden surface.

Happy hellos from a partly cloudy Rogersville. I’m so glad you’re here! Let’s chat, shall we?

Miscellany:

1. It was a busy week — breakfast with a friend, vet appointment, hair appointment, and work. My stress was up, and my endometriosis was awful, so I fell off my diet and only went to the gym once. However, we did walk the dogs almost every day. That’s better than nothing, right?

Oh well. We win some and we lose some. Next week I can get back in the saddle, but this week it wasn’t happening. Grace, right?

2. Steve and I are looking to take a road trip at the end of the month to Gatlinburg, TN. We haven’t made any final decisions, but we both agreed that we need a little getaway — without the dogs. Lol. On our last trip, we took the dogs, so I think we need a reprieve from all responsibilities on the home front. Ya know?

I think the last time we were in Gatlinburg was 2009. I loved it, so I hope we make it happen.

3. I’ve been meaning to ask what y’all think of AI (ChatGPT, etc)? I think it has its pros and cons; however, I do worry about its effect on jobs and unemployment. I feel like people are trying to spin its awesomeness to get people excited, but if you really pay attention — it’s going to replace a lot of people’s jobs, and where will other jobs come from?

I watched a news report several weeks ago that discussed AI and how quickly it’s advancing. They said that it will replace so many jobs, and there will come a time when the number one pandemic in our country will be boredom. GULP!

So, while I find that it can be a great sounding board and resource, I do think it will affect people not finding work, and unemployment rates will surge. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

4. This past week was a good one here on the blog — with TWO new posts. Be sure to check them out.

  • How to Make Chai Spice Mix
  • Gratitude Dice Game for Thanksgiving

5. The world feels a little warmer and more golden right now. Fall has a way of inviting us to pause and savor. These 30 ideas are sweet little ways to bring comfort and connection into the season. Thank you, Bella Grace!

6. Did you hear about The Bearista Cup Drama? Some people were waiting for the stores to open at 3:45 a.m.!?!?! WOW is all I can say…. 😳

Were you one of those crazy people? HaHa.

7. I just wanted to let you know that I’m still an affiliate with Seint. I love, love, love the makeup, and I’d be happy to serve you if you’re interested in learning more. Shoot me an e-mail at kelly (at) livelaughrowe (dot )com — or a message on Facebook or Instagram.

They have some amazing Holiday Releases coming on November 18th. I hope to share more next week.

8. You know Christmas is around the corner when the Rockefeller Center Tree is arriving TODAY in NYC. When my parents lived in New Jersey, I got to see the tree several times. It was pretty amazing! Eeeks. It’s so exciting. Is your tree up yet?
