Happy hello’s from a ” we’re finally warming up” Springfield, Missouri. I think Spring is officially in the air, and I’m doing a happy dance. I am so ready for it, minus the allergies (of course).
Miscellany:
1. Now that I’m working a lot more, I feel I have less to share. Haha. Last weekend, I was MIA with the Weekender due to being under the weather. I had a hair appointment and an in-person Seint party, but other than that, I was trying to stay low-key and rest.
2. However, this week was a busier one with work. I have another fun craft collaboration coming up next week, so I had to figure out what I would do. Our theme for this one is Easter or Spring Front Door Decor. I had some ideas, had to run to the craft store, and then I had to figure out how to photograph it on my ever-so-boring front door. 😂
Stay tuned… that project will be going up on Tuesday!
3. I officially started Weight Watchers (WW) again! This past Friday was my first weigh-in day, and I was down 3.8 pounds. Yes, and amen! I’m not going to use menopause as an excuse anymore. I may not feel 100% myself, but I can start to make healthier choices.
I also plan to attend the Seint Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, this September. I’m currently using that as my motivation.
4. My sister took Friday off, so we did a little retail therapy at the outlets in Branson. Of course, I thought I wouldn’t be spending much. Who was I kidding? All the sales were pretty good, and I always ask if there are cardholder discounts, etc. I saved a lot of moolah. Here are a few of the things I picked up:
- This Sweater (in Pink Tint).
- This Oversized Boyfriend T-shirt (in Raw White).
- This Open-Stitched Sweater (in Sea Salt).
- This Logo Graphic T-shirt (Dried Herb).
- This Linen Blend Shirt (in Purple Lotus).
5. The family met with lifelong friends on Friday night for dinner. I could kick myself for forgetting to snap a picture. Dang it. We went to Big Slice (a local New York-style pizza joint). We’ve all lived in New York at some. point, so it seemed appropriate. Haha.
Debbie (mom) and Stalena (daughter) lost their husband/dad in December. We did some reminiscing and had a lot of laughs. It was just another reminder to cherish every minute we have with our loved ones.
6. Did you see the Gratitude Activity I shared earlier this week? Every once and a while I become overwhelmed with gratitude — recently it was the sunshine. I loved the creativity behind using sun rays for this.
