Happy hellos from the road. As I type that, I’m humming the song, On the Road again. I love a good road trip.
Miscellany:
1. I’m officially in vacation mode! Ya-to-the-stinking-hoo!! I’m so excited for some time away. The beach is my happy place, for sure. Be sure to watch my stories on Facebook!
I mentioned this before, but we’re excited to see how Nash does at the beach.
2. Since I’m no longer tanning in the beds, I decided to spray tan before heading out of town. It’s been a long time, and I forgot some of my tips and tricks for a good spray tan. Haha. I’d give this experience a 6/10.
I’m deciding between self-tanning at home and renewing my monthly package for spray tans at the salon.
Shhhh. Don’t tell my dermatologist, but I miss tanning beds’ ease (and relaxation). SIGH.
3. One of my favorite local stores, Harrison House, is closing, which makes me sad. Over the years, they’ve had the cutest decorative home goods and boutique clothes.
With the closing, they’ve been increasing the discount every few days. I’ve been in a couple of times; the first time, it was 30%, and the other day, it was 40%.
Kristine and I have started planning our 50th birthday party and found some things we can use for decor at the par-tay. YAY!
4. Earlier this week, I shared my needle punch project. The Hand Crafted Society assigned us the craft supply of embroidery floss or yarn. Be sure to take a look. 🥰
5. I’ve decided we need to swap out a chair in our living for a loveseat. I want something to match our West Elm leather sofa, but they only have matching chairs. Womp, womp, womp.
So, we’ll stick with an Ikea slipcover couch. I love this color (no more beige slipcover sofas, haha). What do you think of that color? I’m excited. I think our living room will be lovely with it as an addition. I’ll order it after vacation.
Dang, their furniture prices have gone up. I remember when their sofas were around $399ish. They’re like $749-$799 now. It’s wild. However, I know what I’m getting and what to expect.
