Well, hello there from my freezing neck of the woods. We had some beautiful days this week, and we’ll have some lovely days next week — but yesterday and today have been cold. We even had some freezing sleet.
I think I mentioned this before, but I’m ready for Spring. Please give me all the spring flowers, sunshine, and warmer temps.
Miscellany:
1. Friends, I’m not getting much better with time management. Sigh. What is my problem? We’re a month and a half into the new year, and I’m just not finding my groove.
My problem is that I jump from one thing to another- housework, blogging, and my makeup business. This week, I’m going to try to do a schedule and prioritize. Batching work does well for me, too.
2. Sleepless nights have been a new thing around these parts. I can’t remember if I told you we started weaning Nash out of his crate at night. We bought him a bed and placed it in our room. At first, he was doing pretty well.
However, he started stirring and scratching on my side of the bed at random hours throughout the night. One night, it would be 12:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Another night, it would be 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. I would tell him to lay back down, and many times, I had a hard time going back to sleep.
This week was rough, and I told Steve we might have to bring the crate back into the picture. Sleep is essential to me (especially with menopause), and I’m already a light sleeper. So, we’re going to have to go back to the crate. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.
I’m sure we’d let him sleep with us if we had a king-size bed. We’re currently in a queen-sized bed, and it’s not going to happen.
3. Congrats to all the KC fans! They won the Super Bowl. The game was so slow until the fourth quarter — but we raised the roof when that final touchdown took place. Holla!
And I was so excited that Taylor was there to celebrate the victory with Travis.
4. Did you have a nice Valentine’s Day? Steve and I ordered sushi to-go on Tuesday night. I invited my sister to join us for dinner on Valentine’s Day. We had Filet Mignons, baked potatoes, and a vegetable. Later that night, we made cookie monsters, too. Honestly, it was perfect.
I hope you celebrated those you love, and they celebrated YOU!
5. If you’re a makeup fanatic, would you be willing to let me color-match you? It’s FREE, and there’s no obligation to purchase. I need the practice.
I have some goals in place, and I’m working hard to accomplish them. If you’re familiar with Seint and would like to support me by hosting a Beauty Class, I would love to chat! E-mail me, okay? Interested in what Seint is? Visit our website and scroll through all of the beautiful products we offer.
I finally got to color-match my mom this week. Isn’t she beautiful?
6. Did you see the NEW Rifle Collection at Target? I have loved some of their beautiful illustrations, so seeing their expansion into Target is exciting.
7. These Wooden Flowers for Spring went LIVE earlier this week. These whimsical flowers are sure to add a pop of color and fun to your home. They’d also make a great girls’ craft night project!
8. I’m excited to see that DIY Stationery is trending on Pinterest. Here’s a reminder of all the Flat Things and Fun Additions for Snail Mail. Send more snail mail! (wink-wink)

Your Mom is beautiful! My Dad told me when I was “makeup age” that makeup was to enhance the beauty God already gave me. That is a lovely, natural look on your Mom.
