As you may or may not know — I love twine and sharing fun ways to store them, DIY style (of course). While today’s post might seem crazy simple, I have to admit that it was inspired by Martha Stewart. A pot with a hole in the bottom? Seriously… a twine dispenser had to be in the back of the inventors mind, right? It’s brilliant!
I also love terra cotta pots — they’re my go-to pot for planting flowers. I just love the simplicity and versatility. While they can be found in all shapes and sizes, I picked up a couple of your common pots at our local hardware store for a little over a dollar each. I’m not sure it’s necessary to share a supply list and how-to, but I will {smile}.
Supplies:
Terra Cotta Pot(s)
Twine
Spray Paint, optional
Depending on whether you spray paint your pot or not, you’ll simply add a ball of twine, insert twine through the drainage hole on bottom of the pot and turn it upside down. That’s it! Did I mention easy peasy?
How about a Kitchen Twine Dispenser with cooking twine or Garden Twine Dispenser on your potting bench with jute twine. I use twine a lot for wrapping packages and crafting, so keep one of these twine holders in your craft room too.
Completely simple, but genius, eh?
Here are a couple of other genius twine holders too!

Such a smart use of terra cotta pots! You could even use one of the drainage plates to place the twine roll on.

Thanks so much Emily! I actually used a drain plate for one of my twine rolls and thought about including in this post, but decided against it. 🙂 It’s another great way to add a little more character. Have a wonderful weekend. HUGS.
