This post brought to you by Boar’s Head. All opinions are 100% mine.

Who doesn’t {love} a good, healthy sandwich? I have always been a big fan of packing a lunch with a delicious sandiwich using some of my favorite lunch meats such as turkey or ham with a slice of swiss cheese!  One of the best lines of lunch meat is Boar’s Head.  My brother used to work in a deli and he would bring home this lunch meat regulary.  It’s absolutely delicious!  Recently I learned that there is also a Boar’s Head lower sodium deli meats and cheeses that packs great flavor without a all the extra unnecessary sodium.  This was a win-win for me and my New Years Resolution of taking on healthier eating habits.

I recently made a trip to the grocery store to pick up some groceries and decided to get some of the Boards Head low sodium lunch meats. I don’t buy from the deli alot, so it was a like a new adventrue at the grocery store for me {giggle}.  I was also tickled silly that they let me taste test too!  I decided to buy some of the Black Forest Brand Boneless Smoked Ham (25% lower sodium)  and the Oven Roasted Turkey Breast (47% lower sodium).  Here’s the exciting part, two ounces of either the ham or the turkey is only 60 calories.

Both of these meats were absolutely delicious!  I tend to stray away from ham due to the high sodium, so I kind fell in {love} with this ham.  It’s tasty and guilt free.  I’m actually doing weight watchers and 2 oz. of this meat is only ONE POINT!  Yes, you can believe I did a happy dance.  Grab a few fresh slices of ham accompanied with some avocado, lettuce, tomato, a slice of cheese and your condiments of choice. Place all that goodness between two slices of whole wheat or whole grain bread and your ready to treat yourself to a healthy lunch packed with flavor!

Sometimes we forget that eating well can taste great!  These new lower sodium lunch meats and cheeses are perfect for the whole family or just for you.  I think I know what I’ll be having for lunch today!  What about you?
