This pulled pork panini is a symphony of flavor! Your tastebuds will thank you.
TGIF! One of the reasons I love Friday is that I get to cheat a little bit on my diet — it’s the one day I splurge a little, making these posts a little easier. {hee-hee} So, I get to not only think about eating a delicious sandwich, but I can!
The slow cooker has become my best friend lately, paired with a number of pork dishes! I shared a Hawaiian Pulled Pork dish not too long ago and put the leftovers to good use. This sandwich truly has so many wonderful flavors. It’s amazing and so super easy! Being that I used this Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe for this, that’s where you’ll need to start. Then we’ll move on to pulling this Hawaiian Pulled Pork Panini together.
Hawaiian Pulled Pork Panini
Ingredients
- Hawaiian Pulled Pork shredded (plus sauce)
- Bacon
- Swiss Cheese Sliced
- Mustard
- Claussen: Pickles Kosher Dill Sandwich Slices
- Cibatta Rolls
Instructions
- Prepare pork (see Slow Cooker Hawaiian Pulled Pork).
- Shred pork and place on roll.
- Add bacon, swiss cheese, mustard and pickle slices.
- Add extra sauce to taste.
- Heat thoroughly in skillet or panini press.
Of course you can add or substitute the ingredients to fit your preferences, just be sure to use a hearty bread! This was a newer combination of toppings for me, but it was incredibly tasty.
A couple of other slow cooker recipes using pork include: BBQ Carnitas Pork Sandwich and Slow Cooker Boneless Sirloin Tip Roast. Happy slow-cooking!
