Simple Rustic Patriotic Banner

I have something super easy to share today. It’s so easy, there really isn’t much of a tutorial to share. Crazy, right? However, I wanted to share this Simple Rustic Patriotic Banner with you… a combination of two banners makes this darling and the rustic touches of burlap and lace make my heart sing.

I love pennant banners, bunting banner, scrap fabric banner and more! If you’ve been around here long enough, you might have already caught on (wink-wink). I sell them in my shop every now and again, but I love using them in my home and for styling too.

Recently, I was working on a project for a client and needed a patriotic banner, so I whipped this one up. I had no idea I would love it enough that I’d want to share it with you… but here we are!

Supplies for Rustic Patriotic Banner

Scissors
Lace
Red, White & Blue Ribbon
Twine
Burlap Pennant Banner

The one banner is a simple burlap pennant banner that you can make or purchase, which is the much easier option. Hee-hee.

Then we move onto the banner that incorporates the patriotic colors. With the red, white and blue ribbon and a little lace, this banner adds a little touch of whimsy and fun. I simply cut strips of the ribbon and the lace into 3-4 inch strips. I decided to keep it fairly minimal, but you could fill the entire piece of twine if you’d like.

Did I mention simple? Yep! It’s that simple. Isn’t it darling? Show off your banner at your next patriotic party (July 4th, Memorial Day, Flag Day)! You could hang it over your drink station, food table or a candy bar, etc. I loved hanging mine on my old chippy window, it completed the rustic look. Don’t you agree?
