I thought I would share my Rustic Halloween Vignette with you today… using a few vintage finds, items from around the house, a handmade garland and the great outdoors! I think it’s perfectly festive and just my style {smile}.
I thought it might be fun to share where some of the pieces came from. Sometimes we take pictures of our home decor and forget to share the details of what we used, where we found them and why we love them. Wouldn’t you agree? As many of you know, we live in a newly constructed home. Sometimes in these homes you have to create character… age hasn’t allowed for that to happen quite yet. So I like to bring in older (aka vintage inspired) things to make it feel a little older and cozier.
The old vintage window is new around here and I’m super excited about that beauty. I picked her up that St. Louis Vintage Market. Six panes and chippy paint means perfection!
The vintage letters I purchased from the Crafted Niche Etsy Shop. Here’s the thing, there weren’t two O’s in that box of letters… I kinda did a little tweaking to the Q. Hee-hee. Guess what? I’m so glad I did!
I love-love-love old books. I buy old paperbacks for cheap at the thrift store and tear off the covers and backs. I have stacks of them everywhere. They’re great for props too! Then we have the pages of the old books. Hello fun and versatility! You can use them to make garlands, frame them, or use them for table runners!
I am enjoying all the different sized wood slices that you can pick up at your local craft store. I use them a lot in decor and photo styling. I enjoy bringing a piece of the great outdoors indoors.
The black owl is one of the few Halloween decor purchases I’ve ever made. It’s not spooky, but perfectly festive and only cost me $5.00. A win-win!
I shared the Candy Corn Pom Pom tutorial with you yesterday. Super easy and adds a pop of color.
That’s it… besides the little black stool that was hiding out in the basement and a couple of pumpkins I picked up at the store. Kraft paper and burlap are staples around here nowadays.
Boo-tiful! Thanks for visiting with me. Hugs!
