Last month, I had the privilege of attending the #RugDocTour event held here in downtown St. Louis, MO. Can I just say that Rug Doctor took very good care of the bloggers they invited in to join them for a time to get better acquainted abou them as a brand — and tour their incredible factory located in Fenton, MO.
While we stayed at the beautiful Chase Park Plaza, received complimentary Spa Treatments of choice, incredible swag and dined at a the fabulous Herbie’s Vintage 72 — I have to say that I was thee most impressed by the brand and their facilities. Incredible people who are dedicated to their product and their employees.
We received such a warm welcome!
Let’s take a look at some of the behind the scenes… in the factory!
A few stats:
-There’s only ONE 8-hour shift a day.
-Machines are built from the bottom up — and by hand!
-Work is double and triple checked every step of the way.
-It takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from start to finish to build a machine.
-Approximately 90 machines are manufactured a day.
-There is no difference between the blue and red machines, other than one is rental and the other is for purchase.
We then had a chance to see the product up close and personal — and in action, baby!
One sweep of the Rug Doctor and the carpet is PRISTINE! So impressive.
The day ended with lunch at a country club along with an upholstery demonstration,
trivia and another fun group picture! It was an educational blast!
It was also a fabulous opportunity to meet some other incredible bloggers.

We have a steam cleaner from Target but it doesn’t work nearly as well as the Rug Doctor we rent from the grocery store. It looks like you had a great time, thanks for sharing your experience!

Awesome. I love seeing a behind the scenes look and hearing about how it is made. I’ll definitely keep the rug doctor in mind for my next purchase (certainly we could use it at my house, haha).

Love the pic of you using the rug doctor too! Wow, I am definitely looking in to renting one of these to do our carpets… the last time we had them cleaned I wasn’t too impressed with the carpet service. Rug Doctor is probably the best way to go! Thanks Kelly!
