Hey friends!  Let’s do something a little different today.  Let’s Party Like It’s 1999!  Grab your party hats and grab your boombox ipod to play some jams.  Did you know the No. 1 song of 1999 was Believe by Cher.  Just a little random trivia for ya there!

Party Like It's 1999 Coloring Sheet -- great for a themed party! livelaughrowe.comHow about we take a quick stroll down memory lane?  In 1999 I was 25 years old and getting ready to graduate from college.  I was very single and a work-a-holic.  While in college I worked two jobs, so it’s fair to say I like to stay busy.

So, now it’s your turn!  How old were you?  What were you doing?  If you’re one of my younger readers and turning 18 — you might really enjoy reading this post and hearing some of these facts.  Many of these have officially made me feel old.  Hee-hee.

10+ Fun Facts of 1999

  1. Waiting for AOL to dial up the internet.
  2. Listening to music on a cd walkman.
  3. Paying bills by mail (or in person).
  4. Worrying about Y2K.
  5. Listening to messages on an answering machine (I think I still have some of my tapes).
  6. Taking notes in school from an overhead projector.
  7. Boom boxes were still used to listen to music.
  8. Using phone books and the yellow pages was totally normal.
  9. Blockbuster was the hot spot for renting movies!
  10. Floppy Discs were how we saved all of our computer files.

I created this Back in 1999 printable for use at a 1999 themed party, or as a fun party favor for those who were born in 1999 (I wish it was me… wink).  I’m not a huge themed-party kind of gal, but I would use something like this for a dinner favor.  My hubby turns 50 this year, so I think I’ll use something like this at a small intimate dinner.

Looking back, it was a great year.  It was a blast pulling all of this together too.

I decided to share another throwback printable with the Party Like It’s 1999 and a boombox as a coloring sheet.  Its simplicity is great for all ages too!

Where is all this 1999 themed goodness coming from?  Well, some friends of mine at Proctor and Gamble (P&G) are celebrating the 18th birthday of Swiffer and I thought I would join the fun and share some other fun facts about the year and a couple of printables.

That’s right, Swiffer swept the nation by storm in 1999 and I’m not sure my household chores would be the same without this product!

Happy Birthday, Swiffer! Let's Party Like It's 1999. livelaughrowe.comHappy Birthday, Swiffer!
