This past weekend, my hubby and I tackled a bit of a redneck project… don’t ask! Please!!! Oh, okay… we have a raised deck and our dogs were hanging out under there a little too much. It’s dirty and gross, plus I can’t see them and one of my little guys is a white maltese. Soooo, we went red neck and put up chicken wire under there so it can no longer be their playground. I promise you really can’t see it unless you’re standing right next to it and we will be putting some shrubs/flowers/ornamental plants around the deck eventually — but today, it’s a wee bit redneck {half smile}. Anywho, while we were working on this project, I discovered a birds nest on top of one of the support beams. These little things in life just make me smile. I am always amazed at these masterpieces and it’s just one tiny part of God’s creation. The details and patience that goes into building one of these nests is mind boggling, not to mention finding just the right spot that will keep their eggs safe and provide a form of shelter from inclement weather. I loved this moment and appreciated yet another reminder of what a GREAT BIG God we serve.
It’s the little things…
