Holly Berry Muslin Gift Bags
Well, Christmas is DAYS away — like 7! Wow. Are you ready? I’ve been tackling a few things and trying to think about some creative packaging. I love to have some of my gifts to stand out amongst the rest… How about you? Today’s creative wrapping is using muslin bags. Friends, they are an all-time favorite of mine. You can do soooo many fun things! How about adding a little felt holly berry? Let’s take a look at how simple these Holly Berry Muslin Gift Bags are to pull together.

Supplies:
Muslin Bags (I used 5×7)
Red Felt
Green Felt
Scissors
Glue Gun
Okay, so first things first — you’ll want to cut out your leaves and berries. I used two leaves and three red felt berries per bag. Feel free to add more or use less. I cheated a little and used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the leaves with the Sizzix Bigz Die – Camellia. The leaf worked perfectly! However, you can trace out the shape of your leaf on paper and then use it as a template for your felt. The berries I did on my own, they seemed to be a little more tedious, but no biggy.
Next, you’re going to glue them onto your bags.
NOTE: Be sure to insert a piece of cardboard into the bag before gluing your embellishment on or you’re bag will glue the sides together {gulp}.
And — are you ready for this? You’re done! That’s it. Easy breezy, right?
I think they are super cute! They’re great for gift cards, trial size Bath and Body Works goodies, ornaments, candy, and MORE! I used a little tissue paper to wrap the goodies — you can see the red and white polka dots through the bag a bit. This is a gift for a friend, so I can’t show you what’s inside, but it’s cute {wink}.
To complete the look, I added a handmade gift tag too! I did a little coordinating and used some vintage inspired fabric with holly berries on it. #nailedit
