Bug Scavenger Hunt for Kids

Summer is officially here! Woo-hoo! A few years ago I shared a fun Nature Scavenger Hunt for the kids to enjoy while enjoying the great outdoors! Well, I recently created another one — a Bug Scavenger Hunt!

This printable is for the kiddos who like bugs and insects — and maybe even getting their hands a little dirty (wink-wink). I was more of a girly girl growing up — I liked playing outside with all the neighborhood kids, but not in the dirt. Ha!

Plus, I do not like anything that falls into the category of bugs and insects. Ewww! Okay, okay, I take that back — I do love butterflies, they are beautiful with their colorful, intricate designs…. but the others, not so much. Oh and ladybugs, they’re kinda cute when they’re not making appearances in large numbers.

Hopefully this bug scavenger hunt for kids will come in handy when you want to keep them busy while you’re doing the gardening or house work. Give them a phone or disposable camera to snap pictures of their finds and start a nature journal! That would be a great keepsake for years to come.
