Simple and rustic are two of my favorite words!  And these Birch Napkin Rings certainly fit the bill.  I love that this DIY can be done in about 10-15 minutes too.

I often have these grandeur ideas that sit on the sidelines waiting and waiting…. and waiting for me to bring them to fruition.  These Birch Napkin Rings are amongst those grandeur ideas.  Hee-hee.

A couple of years ago, I stumbled upon some small birch rounds that were used to make napkin rings somewhere (no idea where now, womp womp womp).   I tucked the idea away and last week it came to fruition.

Fortunately, I had some small birch rounds I had picked up at Michael’s, so I was ready to officially kick this project off.  Let’s take a peak, shall we?  (Affiliate links are used below.  Thanks so much for supporting Live Laugh Rowe).

Mini Birch Rounds (similiar)
Drill
Drill Bit (we used a 5/64  bit)
Hemp Twine (similar)

The hubs helped to make a template for the birch rounds and drilling.  You can use a template or wing it, whichever you’re more comfortable with.

Two:  Cut hemp twine.
Three:  Thread hemp twine through the birch rounds.
Four:  Wrap extra hemp twine around napkin (once or twice) and tie into a bow or knot (on the bottom).

That’s it!  These birch napkin rings are perfect for wedding decor, dinner parties, picnics and more.  I can’t wait to use them for some outdoor entertaining.

I paired mine with some beautiful linen fabrics to complete the rustic look I envisioned.
