Soft pink faux spring flowers with layered petals arranged in a vase against a light, airy background.

Spring Vignette (circa 2021)

Happy Hellos from my little town! The high today is 40º F, so besides walking the dogs, I’ll be hunkering down inside unless I can convince my husband to go and look at travel trailers (hee-hee).

Miscellany:

1. We had a beautiful week here in the Ozarks. Warmer weather, sun shining, and birds chirping. It was such a treat; however, that silly groundhog has spoken — so colder temps have already started rolling back in. I’ll enjoy some more soup while I can. Haha.

2. Speaking of soup, earlier this week I shared this Homemade Vegetable Stock. Yes, store-bought vegetable broth is convenient — but making this Homemade Vegetable Stock gives you complete control over flavor, freshness, and ingredients.

3. I’m so excited we got a Lifepro Waver Vibration Plate! They’re said to be a smarter way to burn fat, build strength, and support recovery—without the strain. The Waver’s advanced oscillation technology engages your entire body, encouraging better movement, improved circulation, and faster bounce-back. It’s designed to be joint-friendly and effortless to use, fitting seamlessly into your daily routine.

It kept popping up in my algorithm, so I looked into it — read about the benefits, read the reviews, and more. I was pleasantly surprised that it was HSA-approved, too.

4. Update on my back — I think I’m going to move forward with the MRI. While the pain is still not as intense as it once was, it’s fickle. I had a couple of rough days this week and decided it’s in my best interest to be sure it’s nothing serious, ya know?

A date hasn’t been set, but I’m happy with my decision to “get some answers.” Stay tuned and keep those prayers coming. TIA.

5. What does your front door say about you? Ours is currently white (we need to paint it and have needed to for 8 years now, haha). How about yours?

Green double doors with ornate iron details set in a white building covered in green patterned tiles, with small balconies and white-trimmed windows above.

6. If you’ve been around here long enough, you might know that I’m addicted to peanut butter, and I’ve always loved Reese’s Peanut Butter Hearts, Eggs, and every other shape they’ve made. However, over the last year or two, I have been disappointed when buying them. I always assumed they were being frozen and thawed because they’re rarely “fresh” anymore.

However, my husband sent me this article that shares concerns from Brad Reese, the grandson of founder H.B. Reese, and it may explain a few things. Boo.

7. What I’ve watched and/or am currently watching:

  • Notting Hill: One night this past week, there was really nothing on, and I hadn’t invested much time in the Olympics this year, so I perused channels and saw that Notting Hill had just come on. It’s been years (if not a decade or two) since I’ve seen it. I enjoyed every minute of it. I love older movies; they feel so much lighter and cleaner. I love the “whoopsie daisy” scene.
  • Man on the Inside S2 (Netflix): Steve and I LOVE this series. We also love Ted Dansen. If you need to laugh — this is a fantastic series. 10/10 stars.
  • The Night Agent S3 (Netflix): I started the third season this week. If you love shows about U.S. Intelligence and political conspiracy-type shows, you’d enjoy this series.
  • The limited series Love Story: John F. Kennedy and Carolyn Bessette (Hulu): I watched a few episodes of this, and I’m really enjoying it. I honestly didn’t know much about them or their relationship, so I’m enjoying the bits of learning too.

8. Kitchen Must-Haves (insert cheesy grin):

Sea Salt
Bamboo Salt Cellar
Tiny Spoons

Around the Web:

This sweet Bunny mug.

Print this Spring Bucket List.

Adorable DIY Shamrock Banner.

This Luck of the Irish Party Popcorn.

This Peaches and Cream Pull Apart Bread.

I’ve been craving these Cinnamon Crisps.

This Blender Bottle for Protein Shakes.

This two-piece Ruffle PJ Set (16 color options).

Feeling Flu-ish? This helps!

These DIY Vintage Pyrex Plant Pots (so cute!)

Make Resin Alphabet without Resin. 🤯

I don’t think I have ever been a fan of the larger peanut butter cups – I like the smaller ones, even if its a pain to unwrap each one individually! However, I had one not too long ago and thought the coating tasted like cocoa flavored oil. I knew there was a chocolate supply issue happening, but it seems companies are charging more for less real chocolate!
