Happy Hellos from a cloudy Missouri day! It’s been a couple of weeks, and I’m super excited to catch up. Ready for some random fun?

Miscellany:
1. I’ve been MIA around here due to working on some Easter projects. So, keep an eye out for some Easter inspiration over the next couple of weeks. Not everything is new and exciting, but there were some things I wanted to make and, of course, I want to share it with you.
My husband said I’m going to be over Easter before it even gets here. He’s right. Lol. It looks like Easter exploded in our dining room.
2. The “Year of Kelly’s Self-Care” update: I’m down 8 pounds and have started counseling. GO ME!
I can’t remember if I mentioned that I’m back on WW, but I am. I started at the end of January. WW works for me — I’m doing it the old-fashioned way, too, calculating points. I know they offer meds and shots now, but that’s a last resort for me. I can do hard things. 💪🏻
I had my first counseling session on February 28th. It went very well. The counselor was fantastic, and I felt at ease.
3. Did you see the adorable Paper Easter Eggs I shared earlier this week? So cute and easy. Be sure to take a looksy! Great for a fun Easter Basket filler — or Easter favor.
4. Do you Hurkle-Durkle? It’s a real word that means “to lie in bed or lounge about when one should be up and about.” It’s probably one of my favorite pastimes. 😂
5. Have you ever wondered about curtain and furniture color combinations? I recently learned about Time Curtain, and it’s pretty darn handy. Keep this link in your back pocket, friend. It’s a great resource.
6. Would you believe that Steve and I have planned two different weekend trips to St. Louis and decided to cancel at the last minute both times? Womp womp womp.
Our goal was just to get away for a weekend. We’d like to shop at a few stores we don’t have locally, and dine at one of our favorite restaurants in Chesterfield.
The first time we got hit with a snowstorm, and then Steve had a work project that went south. I’m hoping sooooooon. Ikea is calling and I must go. 😂 😂
7. In the last couple of years, I have gotten to be a weirdo about touching raw meat. It’s okay if you rolled your eyes. Hee hee. I’m quirky.
If you can relate, I keep these food-safe disposable gloves in my kitchen. Love them!
p.s. They’re lifesavers when cleaning up after the dogs when they’re sick, too. 🤢 Hmmm, maybe I’m a germaphobe.
8. Last year, we were in Calgary, AB, for my husband’s niece’s wedding. Guess what? We’ll be heading back soon for my husband’s nephew’s wedding.
I believe Mark and Nicole had originally planned to get married in Joshua Tree. However, they’re dog people, and their sweet Golden Retriever (Henley) has been diagnosed with cancer.
Henley is undergoing chemo, but they’re not sure how much longer he has. They want the dog to be a part of the wedding, so they’ve pushed it up to this Spring.
Their wedding theme: Western Bohemian. Doesn’t that sound amazing? YES!
We’re going to add a trip to Banff to do some more exploring. I’m excited for a getaway. I feel like we haven’t taken a vacation in forever.
