Miscellany:
1. I finally sat my bootie down and wrote my thank you cards from my 50th birthday party this week… I just kept procrastinating, and I don’t even know why!
It was incredibly rewarding to write my friends and family and thank them for their generous gifts. I love snail mail, and while many people don’t send thank you cards anymore, I’m hoping those cards will be a bright spot in each of their mailboxes.
Since our party was boho-themed, I purchased these Thank You cards. Occasionally, I enjoy adding one of these thoughtful pop-open cards too.
2. Nash went back to doggy daycare one day this week. The heat has been intense, and his paw is 99% back to normal; we knew he needed it. Honestly, I think we all did. Haha.
3. This past week, I shared this Cheesecake Factory Strawberry Shortcake copycat recipe. YUM! If you missed that post, be sure to take a look.
4. Last night, Steve and I saw Nate Bargatze. Oh my gosh! It was so good. Laughter is good for the soul friend. I love that he’s a clean comedian, too. So many comedians lose me with their vulgarity, ya know?
Have you heard of Nate Bargatze?
While all the comedians were good, it was so hot — my worst nightmare. Haha. I kept chanting between the crowds and heat, “Home is my happy place.” Home is my happy place.” 😂😆
5. Dearest Gentle Reader, are you a fan of Bridgerton?
OMG! The series is amazeballs. Season 3 did not disappoint, and I couldn’t be happier to see Penelope find her voice and match (true love).
If you’re not familiar, it’s a show on Netflix. So good. Bingeworthy for sure.
6. The presidential debate was less dramatic than I expected but a hot mess nonetheless. This election is concerning in several ways. We must pray.
7. We’re on the hunt for a new cordless vacuum cleaner. Do you have any favorites you’d like to share with us? We’ve had a Shark for 6 or 7 years and need to replace it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve been researching, but all the reviews are 50/50. Help.
8. We just bought our third set of pans in 15 years. I won’t share the brand until we’ve used them several times and decided if they’re worth sharing. However, we are trying Ceramic for the first time. Stay Tuned.
First Set: Pampered Chef (wedding gifts, used for over ten years)
Second Set: Calphalon (used for about six years)
Third Set: TBA
9. I purchased a pair of huaraches using some of my birthday money. I’ve been wearing them around the house (with socks) to break them in. I love a good slip-on, and sunny adventures await! ☀️❤️
10. Have a happy and safe July 4th! 🇺🇸

I agree on his faith and clean comedy — it’s a breath of fresh air. And thank you for the kind words about Nash. I hope you’re having a great weekend. Cheers!
