Steve took Friday off — so we decided to head up to Hermann, MO that afternoon.  Stonehill Winery was hosting their 21st Cajun Concert and we couldn’t think of a better date.  We discovered that we both enjoy Cajun music on our very first date at Silver Dollar City, listening to the Cajun Connection.  Steve has been a fan of this style of music for some time, where is it was something different for me — now it’s something we enjoy together.  We started off doing the winery tour and tasting (again, we’ve been before), made a hefty purchase — then headed to the pavilion.  We got there a little earlier to beat the crowds, but that place filled up quickly.  The music was fantastic by Ed Gary and the Cajun Aces — the dance floor was always packed.  I have to admit that I enjoyed people watching as well —  a lot of country folk, including good ole’ Billy here.  Isn’t he the cutest?  I had to get a picture, and of course he was tickled silly to oblige.  Everyone knew each other and were super friendly.

All in all — we had a fantastic time and we’ll definetely be heading back next year.  Here’s to good wine, good music and good times!  Hope to see you there….
keep living and laughing, friends.
