What a fabulous idea, right? Megan over at Absolute Mommy is hosting this party and I thought it would be a blast to participate — plus I get to share a little piece of me and my story with you.

I got married on November 20, 2008 to the love of my life, Stephen.  Our wedding was held at The Brownstone in Patterson, NJ.  Yep, thee Brownstone that is often seen in The Real Housewives of New Jersey.  I actually planned my event with Albert, Caroline’s husband.  This is my claim to fame {giggle}.  It is a beautiful venue and the food is to die for. I was living in Missouri at the time, so this event was planned a thousand miles away. This did add a little stress, but for the most part — I had a fabulous group of ladies helping me in New Jersey.  Thank GOD!

Okay, I’ll shut up now {hee-hee}.  Here’s a peek into my big day… and what I wore!

BEFORE THE WEDDING:
Here you can see the casual side of my day.  I’m actually wearing one of my Dads shirts.  I didn’t think about having a button down shirt.  DUH!  I had a beautiful veil.  I did my own makeup.  I’m a MAC eye-makeup girl and spent a little time at a MAC counter learning what I needed to do — and was pleased.  My dress was an Alfred Angelo and GORGEOUS.  I absolutely {loved} the red details.

THE WEDDING:
My ceremony was held in the Grand Conservatory room. It was the perfect ambiance that I wanted. The chandeliers added so much elegance as well.  My Dad not only walked me down the aisle, but he also married me. I’m lucky to have a Dad who was able to marry us…  he is such an incredible man!

AFTER THE CEREMONY:
Here we are being announced at the reception.  I have such goofy faces in some these pics.  Oh well.Isn’t my hubby handsome?  The reception for me was a blur.  I felt like it moved at the speed of light and we really didn’t get a chance to soak up the events, but from what we heard everything was lovely.  HA! We laughed. We danced.  We were Mr. & Mrs. Rowe.

This is my absolute favorite wedding picture.
It’s picture perfect! Thanks to Big Smile Photography.

THE FAREWELL:
I bought these monster size sparklers for the farewell.  Our smaller version of fireworks.  It was so much fun, but I did have a panic attack that I might have little holes in my dress!?!?  I don’t think I did, but it was possible.  Right?  Such great memories.

And the {love} story continues…
