Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree…
Can you believe we’re on Day 4 of the 12 Days of Holiday Fun?
Where does the time go? 27 Days until Christmas!!
How about a couple of Twine Wrapped Christmas Trees?
Well, sort of-kind of. I guess it’s a form of a Christmas tree. Regardless, I {love} it! I can’t wait to add these to my woodsy/rustic Christmas decor this year. This project cost under $10 too, so it’s easy on the wallet. Let’s grab a few supplies and get this super easy project underway.
All you will need are paper mache cones, craft jute and a hot glue gun!
And we’re ready to roll. Like I mentioned earlier, this is a super easy craft.
It’s a wee-bit time consuming, but worth it in the end… Let’s go!
I started at the base and worked my way up. The only disadvantage to using the glue gun is that you have to work in small areas due to the glue hardening quickly. I’m a gett’er done now kind a girl, so the extra time was worth it to me. I”m sure this would work just as well with a tacky glue.
You’ll just keep glueing and wrapping… and glueing and wrapping.
Be sure that your twine is tight up against each other as you are wrapping.
Imperfections will happen, but I think that adds to festive piece
The small one is done… making progress on the larger one.
I think it took me about an hour to complete these while I was watching Hawaii 5-0.
A set of Twine Wrapped Christmas Trees. Rustic Style!
What do you think? Do you have a favorite crafty tree?
Ho Ho Happy Crafting…

I’m a little late to the party ……
Going to try to get a few craft things done this summer when I have time off and avoid the holiday crunch.
Any suggestions for how you ended this? Did you just cut it and that was it, or did you fold the jute?
Kelly Rowe says
Thanks so much for visiting wit LLR. In regards to your question, I just cut the jute and glued it 🙂 Happy crafting! Hugs.
