Last year around this time I was doing some work for a temp agency in my attempt to find a no brainer part-time job.  To this day, I still laught at the thought of going from a Director of Admissions to one of three receptionists for a Doctor’s office.  Sigh.

Moving on.  During Employee Appreciation Week, someone from the temp agency came to the Doctor’s office I was working in with a token of their appreciation — a caramel apple.  Now let me preface the fact that this was no ordinary caramel apple — this was heaven on a stick, dipped in caramel and rolled in pecans.  YUM!!  I actually called the temp office to ask where they got the apple and ventured out to buy another later in the season.  Well, as the time was drawing near for caramel apples this year, I was quickly overcome with the desire to find these caramel apples again.  Where were they sold?  Was it Schnuck’s?  Or was it Dierbergs?  UGH!  I stopped in a Schnucks to scope it out — they were no where to found and I was left with grave disappointment.   However, I thought it must be Dierbergs, but I never did make my way to one of the stores.  Well, it was a couple of weeks later that I had to run into Schnuck’s again — and guess what was displayed in the front of the produce department??  YES, folks — the must-have-heaven-on-a-stick caramel apples.  All for the low (hee-hee) price of $5.99.  Might I add that they are worth every penny of that $5.99.  Here is a picture of the infamous caramel apple and if you can get your hands on one, I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Here Here to the delectable Bobby’s Old Fashioned Hand Dipped Caramel Apple.
keep living and laughing, friends.
