Hello from my little neck of the woods to yours! I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s catch up!

letterboard about daylight savings time

Miscellany:

1. Don’t forget about Daylight Savings on November 3rd. We fall back! Set those clocks back an hour and prepare for much yawning and exhaustion. Haha.

2. Make Your Voice Heard! If you haven’t cast your vote yet, remember to do so by 11/5. Every vote counts toward our future and freedoms. 🇺🇸

3. I’ve been MIA on the Weekender the last couple of weeks, but let me explain why. Our world has been revolving around fostering a PUPPY for the past couple of weeks.

Yep, you read that right! Steve and I applied to foster dogs through HavaHeart Rescue several weeks ago. We’ve donated many times over the years, but we wanted to give fostering a try. A couple of weeks later, we expressed interest in fostering a four-month-old puppy. His name is Charger, and he is as sweet as can be.

We’ve already informed our foster rep that we won’t be adopting him. We’re not ready to add a second pup to our home.

I’m afraid we won’t be doing any additional fostering anytime soon. It’s HARD. Almost all rescues need to be potty trained, which takes enormous work and energy. We don’t want to put them in diapers or use potty pads, so we’re probably making it more difficult for ourselves.

We’ll continue to donate and support the organization, but fostering will be on the back burner.

4. My mom and I attended a Lysa Terkeurst event this past week featuring Natalie Grant. It was a night of worship and encouragement. Lysa talked about her marriage failing and read snippets from her new book, “I Want to Trust You, but I Don’t.” She also spoke about the uncertainty of life and that things happen for a reason—we may see them for the bad, but what if they were for the good and vice versa?

5. The Kansas City Chiefs are still undefeated! Woop woop. I try to watch all the games as my schedule permits. What team are you cheering for during this football season? I keep telling Steve that I want to go to a Chiefs game. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

6. I got my FLOCKED TREE, and she is a beauty! Be sure to check out my post.

7. Is anyone else watching Married at First Sight? OMG! This show fills my drama cup to the tippy top every Tuesday Night. A couple of weeks ago, Season 18 premiered. Everyone’s expectations are so far-fetched, and watching the drama unfold is something I look forward to every single week. Haha. *Flying my freak flag!

8. Have I ever shared my detest for glitter? Girl, it gives me so much anxiety. However, I’m tackling my fear and sharing a fun glitter craft next week. Stay tuned! (gulp). *Flying my freak flag some more. 😂
