Happy Hello’s from my home to yours. This past week, we were teased with temperatures in the mid-70s. Today, we’re headed back into the 90s. Boo.

My heart is ready for fall, so you may see a theme throughout today’s post (i.e. Fall and Halloween).

Psst! Let’s keep in touch! You know you want to. Be sure to sign up for e-mail updates! Click that SUBSCRIBE button in the upper right-hand corner, or use the subscription box in the sidebar. As a result, you’ll get some happy mail in your Inbox.

Miscellany:

1. Have you ever eaten at a Food Hall? We have one nearby in Nixa, MO. It’s like a mall food court without the mall (haha). Anywho, we tried one last weekend. We’ll have to try it again because our experience wasn’t great — starting with a broken air conditioner on a very hot day. 🥵

2. I don’t talk about politics, but I am ready for this presidential election to be over. The ugly comes out EVERYWHERE. I would rather watch the ID channel, Bravo, or stream movies because television is currently inundated with everything about elections and politics. I can’t imagine being the only one who feels this way — unless you don’t have a TV or don’t watch it.

3. Speaking of news — are you looking for faith-driven news? I recently subscribed to The Pour Over for unbiased Christian media coverage with no political agenda, just a Christian worldview. It arrives in my Inbox three times a week, and I love how they include scripture, reminding us to keep an eternal perspective.

It’s been a breath of fresh air. Check it out! 🇺🇸

4. It’s been a couple of weeks, so check out these new posts if you missed them.

  • How to Make a Rope Planter
  • Oreo Bat Bites: A Halloween Snack

5. A little shopping therapy took place at Bass Pro this week. Here is what I bought:

  • Zip Fleece Jacket in Black (TTS)
  • Acid-Washed Sweater Bomber Jacket (size up)
  • Long-Sleeve Flannel in Cedar Wood (size down)
  • Waffle V-neck in Rose Black Stripe (TTS)
  • French Terry Sweatshirt in Rose Taupe (TTS)
  • This 7-in-1 Multi-Tool is to be kept in the glove box of my car.

See something you like? Go ahead, treat yourself!

6. Since my sister moved into a smaller studio apartment, we’ve been trying to make the best use of space. These decorating ideas using the BEKVÄM Ikea spice racks are genius and inexpensive, too!

7. Seint is currently offering an Atlanta Angels Foster Care Collection. It features the Ethereal Gradient Square Palette, Fig Lip + Cheek and Angel Illuminator.

Everything you need to create a radiant look! Plus, each purchase supports the Atlanta Angels in their mission to support children, youth, and families in the foster care community. Let’s make a difference together!!! 👊🏻

Below I’m wearing Fig with Angel on top. All three items are ONLY $38!!

8. This article, Ten Top Fitness Goals and How to Achieve Them, got me thinking that something has to give in my world where I’m in menopause, hate the Summer heat, and keep gaining weight. #3 had me visiting our local Yoga studio’s website. Maybe I need to sign up for a class or two — it gets me out of the house, classes are in Rogersville (Hallelujah), and it’s exercise.

Do any of you have any yoga experience? Thoughts?

I agree there’s too much ugly in politics but I think after you read The Pour Over for awhile, you’ll discover there’s ugly in it as well. Everyone has an agenda. If you agree with their agenda, the ugly doesn’t seem quite so ugly.
