On October 23rd I held a Tastefully Simple party for my dear friend (with whom I go way back), Melanie McDermott.  She drove up to St. Louis on that Saturday to do the party — and can you say yummy?  I worked diligently to get as many orders as possible prior to the party (from those who couldn’t attend) and then sat back and let the food sell itself at the party.  BIG CHEESY SMILE!! I had a super fantastic party.  I think it totalled $800+ and I got like $95 in FREE goodies.

So, of course, Melanie mentioned that I consider selling it.  At first I thought — uh, no way — but, I gave it a great deal more thought and decided to do it as another fundraiser for our adoption next year.  The U R My Sunshine studio is a slow fundraiser and I’ll most likely wrap that up in the new year — and pursue this a little more proactively.  Worse case scenario, I only do it for a short time — meet some new people and have fun!  I’ve decided not to worry about it too much.  Steve gave me his blessing and we’ll see where this journey takes us.

Here’s where my plug comes in:  Would you like to host a party?  Catalog party?  Maybe just pick up a few goodies to stock up your pantry for the Winter.  Tastefully Simple has FANTASTIC soups, beer bread and the list goes on.  Check out my website by clicking here — and place your on-line order.  Let me know if you have any quesitons.  I’d love to work with you in any way that I can.

keep living and laughing, friends.

It was a GREAT party and of course I spent more then I wanted too! 🙂 It was worth it though. Congrats on selling it now! You'll do great!
