It’s par-tay time… that happy time of the week where we come together and show off our incredible mad talents.  I absolutely LOVE seeing all the crafts, recipes and anything else you bring to the table.  This week I thought I would do a little something different.  I am sharing the Readers Choice Award; however,  I wanted to share a couple of exciting features I received over the past few months. Rather than dedicate a whole post to that, I couldn’t think of a better group of friends to share it with than YOU.  I hope you don’t terribly mind, but I could just explode with excitement {smile}.

Somerset Life Magazine at Barnes & NobleTowards the end of last year, I was contacted by the editor of Somerset Life Magazine (a Stampington & Co. publication) about using my Painted Drop Cloth Wrapped Soaps for a Creative Living Idea feature.  I was tickled silly and said, “YES, of course!!”  That issue came out in the Jan/Feb/March 2013 issue.  Soon thereafter, she reached out to me again and asked if I would “write” a feature for them, including the tutorial for my DIY Vintage Inspired Favors and Gifts.  This was a paid publication, a price point was offered per page.  I was giddy and agreed to move forward.  This four page spread was published in the April/May/June 2013 issue.  I’ve posted a couple of pics on Instagram; however, I did want to share a few additional pictures here too (and you can see the features in their entirety by clicking on the magazine covers in my sidebar).  I also wanted to wait until both features were done before sharing, as not to bore you with two separate posts.

I trust that this inspires you too!  I never dreamed in a million years that blogging would lead to so many exciting opportunities.
