Pumpkin Treat Boxes

It’s officially pumpkin season!  Yahoooo.  So, how about a Pumpkin Palooza — like 15 pumpkin ideas to inspire you.  Well, today kicks off a series with myself and 14 of my bloggy friends.  Today, I’m sharing these adorable Pumpkin Treat Boxes.

Seriously, how cute are they?  Great for filling with a festive treat — or gifting something small like washi tape, jewelry, etc. Since paper mache boxes come in all different sizes,  you can easily make one to suite your needs. So, who’s is ready to make these cuties?

Let’s grab our supplies and get this party started!

Supplies:
Round Paper Mache Boxes
Sponge Brush
Orange Paint
Drill, optional
Twine
Rust Colored Wire
Green Felt
Glue Gun

STEP ONE:
Start by painting the boxes.

STEP TWO:
Next, drill a hole in the lid of your little box.Turn an ordinary paper mache box into one of these adorable Pumpkin Treat Boxes! livelaughrowe.com

STEP THREE:
Add twine for Stem.  Take a piece of twine (5-6 inches in length) and fold in half, then know.  You’ll then insert the loop into the hole, leaving the knot on the insided of the lid (pictured below).

STEP FOUR:
Adding the wire and leaves.  Using rust colored wire, add a sprig of twirled wire and a felt leaf to the top of your box.  Insert through top of box and place a dot of hot glue on the inside to hold.

    I made up several of these last week and filled them with peanut butter m&m’s. They were a huge hit. I like to make up things like this for the different holidays to share with peeps at work, waitresses, etc. I love, love, love your blog :=)
