Ladies!!  After seeing all of the DIY fabric flower tutorials — and then finding this AWESOME TUTORIAL, I had to make myself one of these beauties.  Isn’t it cute hot?  I can assure you that I’ll be making a few of these in different colors… oh wait, who am I kidding, I already did {giggle}.

No Sew Fabric Flower Necklack
Here’s a few of my own personalized tips:
  • Use the stiff felt to offer a little more support to the back of the necklace.
  • If you’re a perfectionist (like me), using a circle stencil is a real winner.  I already had one, and put it to good use here.  However, it did keep my circles (particularly the felt ones) much cleaner.
  • The necklace pictured, the felt and fabric circles were measured at 1.25″  Playing with different sizes will allow you find something you’re comfortable with.  After tinkering around, I found that eight fabric circles per flower worked perfectly with a circle at 1.375″.  Glue four down the middle/center of the felt circle and then two on each side.  Does the pic help at all?
fabric circle placement
  • If you decide to make one with a patterned fabric, you’ll need 16 fabric circles per flower (place these circles on top of each other with the pattern facing out).
  • The chain(s) on my necklace(s) measure 23″.  If you plan to make a couple of these fun necklaces, buy a chain 48″ or longer — stretch those dollars {smile}.   I bought a couple of mine at Michaels when I had a coupon too.  I love to save!

Send me a pic of your necklace — have fun and be you!
Happy DIY projecting!
