DIY Industrial Desk Organizer for less than $2.00
Yes, you read that correctly! A desk organizer for under $2.
Inexpensive? Industrial inspired? Statement piece? Yes, please!
I love seeing the industrial inspired pieces that are making quite a statement for home and office decor! And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, not everything has to be complicated. Some projects can be so simple that you need to keep the Staples Easy Button close by {giggle}.
I recently received a Lowe’s Creative Ideas magazine and saw this project mentioned. I knew it would make a perfect addition to my work space and I’m never at a loss of business cards, gift cards, coupons, etc. So, I went to work (for all of 5 minutes). I picked up a 16×4 aluminum air vent from Lowe’s for less than $2.00. They also have a 16×8 for only a few cents more! Air vents can come in many shapes and sizes! Anywho, we used a squared edge (a table or countertop) and bent it into thirds. Voila!
A heavy duty piece of aluminum went from an air vent to an industrial inspired desk organizer in minutes! Simply tuck in your cards, notes or reminders. Easy and inexpensive, with quite a wow factor! Don’t you agree?
