One of my favorite things about the colder seasons is warm drinks.  This time of the year, I enjoy Egg Nog Lattes, Hot Caramel Apple Cider and warm wine…along with my daily coffee addiction, of course {giggle}.  However, a cup of this hot cider always takes me a on stroll down memory lane.

Years ago (I always feel so old when I say that) I was a sales rep for a promotional company called Promoter Advertising.  Yep, I sold promotional products!  On one particular Christmas holiday, I was talking about this yummy drink I enjoyed (and often made).

Everyone seemed so intrigued (particularly the boss), so I decided to round up the ingredients, necessary kitchen supplies and insulated coffee cups to bring into the office.  I think they were all standing around the kitchen licking their lips for hours (okay, okay, I may be exaggerating a wee-bit).

To this day, I still think of Promoter and my former boss Wayne whenever I make this Hot Caramel Apple Cider.  It’s a happy memory too, Wayne was a cheery guy with a contagious laugh and I probably won a few brownie points that day.  I was a hot mess back then, so I needed all the brownie points I could get.
