This post is sponsored by Michael’s. All opinions are 100% my own. I love this calendar kit!
Who loves calendars? Me-Me-Me-Me-Me! Since college, I’ve been a paper and pen calendar girl! I tried using a Palm, but the paper and pen kept beckoning me {giggle}. Guess what? I kinda love scrapbooking too! I’m not so good at finding the time to do it, but I do enjoy it. So, you can imagine my excitement when I heard about the Michael’s Recollections Calendar Kit. Yes, please!
I love that it’s customizable, can be hung on the wall during the year and stored with your other albums when the year comes to a close. Perfection! Let me show you a little bit more about this adorable calendar kit.
First things first — the goods! This DIY calendar kit contains an album, blank calendar pages, photo pocket pages, stickers and designer insert cards (sizes are 3×4 and 4×6). Oops, almost forgot there’s a pen and holder too!
All you need to complete the calendar is a little creativity and photos! Of course, photos are optional, but I’m pretty sure all of you Mom’s and Grandmas would love to see your kids and grand-kids hanging out on your calendar throughout the year. Right? It’s a fun and memorable way to display your favorite photography and journal some of your favorite memorable moments!
So, I went to work! Each month has a divider, photo pocket page and calender! You simply customize each month’s photo pocket pages with the designer 3×4 and 4×6 cards, your own photos and other embellishments you might have on hand!
Oh you know — something like this!
October is one of my favorite months! Pumpkin patches, Hot Apple Cider, etc.
My husband is Canadian; however, (ironically) his birthday is July 4th. I loved all of the Canadian themed journaling cards and decided to dedicate the July theme to him! I got to visit his hometown (St. Johns, Newfoundland) last summer. The lighthouse is from Cape Spear. It’s such a beautiful province.
And last but not least — MAY, my birthday month (and my twinkie too, of course), making it one of my favorite months of the year {insert big cheesy grin}. I used pictures for this month that took me on a walk down memory lane! The downtown urban shot is from Springfield, MO. My sister and I have so many fantastic memories there and the cutoff picture was a hysterical mistake. That was taken at our favorite sushi joint in Springfield, Haruno’s. All that to say that this layout will make me smile all month long! In 2014, I’ll be turning 40 (gulp) and we’ll be going on a girls only (mom, sis and I) cruise to Bermuda! OMG. I’m sooo excited. Care to join?
What do you think? It’s a pretty fabulous DIY Calendar Kit, right? Perfect Christmas gift for yourself {hee-hee}, mothers and grandmothers! You can pick one up a Michael’s Recollections Calendar Kit at your local Michael’s stores for $39.99.
What are you waiting for?
Happy Shopping and Happy Holidays, sweet friends.

Holla! May babies rock! How do you feel about turning 40? I think I’m still in denial (hee-hee). I just can’t believe I’m turning 40.

I can remember my mom in her 40’s so that freaks me out a bit since I was the youngest and now I’LL be 40. That, and I just gave birth to my 5th (and last!) baby in October. Thus I’ll be the “old” parent to this poor child – Ha! Anyhoo…I stopped taking birthdays seriously a long time ago – (wink, wink) – my hubby is two years and some months younger than me and never let’s me forget it! He thinks he should throw a surprise party for me when I turn the big 4 – 0. I vetoed that.

This looks fabulous, but it would top fabulous if it included blogging planner pages! The digital ones floating around just seem like too much work to put together (ok, so I might be a teensy bit lazy and want it reassembled)
By the way, I remember 40 like it was yesterday…even though it was a DECADE ago. I’m turning 50 next month *gulp*
