outdoor fall market in fordland, mo

Happy hellos from Missouri. I’m so glad you’re here…

Miscellany:

1. What a weird week. Maybe it’s the changing of the seasons — or the fact that it’s not due to the consistent 80º weather. I just felt off all week long. I went to the gym one time. GULP!

My to-do list is soooo long, I think I was feeling a little overwhelmed. On Thursday, the Cheetos won — and I’m not proud of it. So I didn’t weigh in this week. I’ll get back in the saddle next week.

‘Tis the season, right? Haha.

2. Last weekend was Schofield + Gray. One of my favorite seasonal markets. I always enjoy strolling around the property and seeing what the different vendors offer. My mom, sister, and I had a lovely time. We snacked on some nachos, cookies, kettle corn, and scored a few festive and/or not-so-festive finds.

I was so happy that we had PERFECT weather too.

3. Bentley (our little maltipoo) got sick this week. The dogs and I basically pulled an all-nighter on Wednesday night.

The vet thinks it’s kennel cough, but Bentley appears to be on the mend. We are praying it’s nothing else. I say that because he does hack a lot. Time will tell.

Fortunately, we all slept through the night on Thursday. Praise the Lord!

4. Have you decorated for fall? I was holding off, waiting for the cooler weather.

However, I started to lose hope. Like I mentioned earlier, we’re still going strong with warmer weather around these parts — it’s despicable Hee-hee!

Anywho, I caved and put out some fall decor. I’ve also been burning all of my favorite fall candles just about every night, too.

5. Would you believe it if I told you I also have a Christmas tree up? Bwahaha. I’ve partnered with King of Christmas again. Stay tuned.

6. I bought some air-dry clay recently to make some things I’ve seen online. I never in a million years thought the one project would be such a labor of love. I’ll share a picture when it’s done. They’re currently under a light lamp, hardening the resin I applied.

It’s been a week since I started this little craft — a lot of waiting: drying, drying, and resin hardening. I think I applied too much resin (I’m a newbie), and the waiting is taking a lot longer than I planned.

First world problems, I know.

When your husband asks, “How long do those have to sit under that light?” That’s when you know it’s been a minute.

7. Watched/Watching:

  • Death in Apartment 603. What happened to Ellen Greenberg? (Hulu) – This docuseries was CRAZY insane, and I’m still baffled as to what happened. It will blow your mind.
  • Gilmore Girls (Hulu). I’ve never watched this series and finally decided to give it a go. While I’m only in Season 1 — I’m really enjoying it. It’s cute!

8. Since the last Weekender, two new posts have gone up. These adorable Skeleton Treat Boxes and this delicious Hawaiian Roll French Toast recipe. Be sure to check them out!

9. Something fun to do:

Go to Google.
Search Wizard of Oz.
Tap on the Red Slippers, then the Tornado.

You’re welcome 🙂

Around the Web:

This Autumn Tablescape.

This GORGEOUS Fall Mantel.

Reasons to Rethink the Memory Box. Love this idea!

Turn a yogurt jar into a mini cauldron!

A must try: Pumpkin Pie Crisp.

These Pumpkin Spice Pumpkins.

This Pointelle Cardigan Sweater. Love the port color!

This Simple Fall Wreath.

How to Make Your Pumpkin Last All Fall.

The 2025 Fall Haircut. (I wish I had the guts).

Bought another pair of my favorite slippers.
