Happy hellos from a lovely and cooler Saturday morning in Missouri! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks. I have a lot to share with you. Yay!
Miscellany:
1. We started our road trip two weeks ago with a stop in Nashville. We LOVE Nashville; I mean, we named our mini Goldendoodle after it. Haha. We enjoyed our time there again; however, it was hot, and it rained a lot, making it a little bit of a bummer.
We visited the Country Music Hall of Fame, sat and listened to live music at a couple of bars, shopped 12 South, had some delicious BBQ, and Steve decided to see Donny Osmond at the Ryman Auditorium. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but he put on a very good show. I enjoyed myself.
The auditorium was full of LOUD, middle age women. Haha. For some reason, I was fighting a migraine most of the time we were in Nashville. Bummer, I know.
2. Our second stop on the road trip was Charlotte, North Carolina. We arrived one day before a conference I was attending, and it was a much-needed day of rest.
The conference was for Celesty (beauty, skincare, hair care, and more). I enjoyed spending time with my gal pal, Kathy. I learned a lot more about the company and its products and made some new friends.
3. Our final stop on our way home (to sleep) was Paducah, Kentucky. It’s a sleepy town, for sure, but we did take a quick drive down by the riverfront. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express there. I love their breakfast cinnamon buns. It took me on a trip down memory lane from my recruiting days.
4. Traveling reminded me that I’m becoming such a germaphobe, and it’s getting worse with age. I told Steve we could resolve this problem by purchasing an RV. Haha. Plus, we could take Nash without all of the extra expenses. I keep crossing my fingers and toes, hoping we’ll revisit that conversation.
5. Did you see the NEW Marshmallow Coke (Fluffy Coke) earlier this week? If you like marshmallow fluff and Coca-Cola — you might find your new favorite fizzy drink!
6. Have you been watching the Olympics? I have always enjoyed gymnastics and artistic (synchronized) swimming. I was able to watch the replays and enjoyed every minute. There is so much to admire about the athletes. Their strength, dedication, and passion. What is your favorite event?
7. This coming week, I’ll be sharing a new post for the Hand Crafted Society. It’s simple and fabulous, in my humble opinion. The crafting medium is rop or twine. Here’s the cotton rope I used. Do you have any ideas of what I might have made?
