DIY Galvanized Tray
I may or may not have a slight obsession with all things galvanized. It might turn into a problem if I don’t stop bringing things home too. {giggle} Let’s see, I have cake stands, organizers, storage containers, buckets, watering pots and more! I recently used one of my many pieces as a vase, check it out over on Instagram. So, you can imagine my excitement in sharing today’s awesome sauce project — this DIY Galvanized Tray.
A few weeks ago I was picking up some treats for my furry babies in Walmart and saw a galvanized metal pet feeder. I was with my sister and said — “Ummm, I could use this as a prop.” I’m sure my sister rolled her eyes at me since my wheels are constantly turning for my blog {wink}.
At the time, I picked it up to use for styling as-is. Then I recently spotted some rope at Target and had an even better idea — add handles with that fabulous-ness!

So, that’s exactly what I did — added handles to the galvanized pet feeder. I’m in love!
Supplies for Galvanized Tray:
Cost (minus equipment): $8.00
Bergan 3-Quart Galvanized Pet Feeder*
Coconut Husk Rope (or rope of choice)
Drill
1.) Drill holes in galvanized pet feeder.
2.) Insert rope through the holes and tie knots.
That’s it! Voila! You have yourself an inexpensive DIY Galvanized Metal Tray. Did I mention easy? Crazy town, right? I told you!!
I love how the vintage books and wicker demijohn look on the tray too!
For less than $8, you really can’t beat the price on this project! If you love the rustic, industrial vibe — I’m sure you can find a spot for this fabulous galvanized tray in your home. Happy creating!
