Happy Monday!! Welcome to my Fall Home Tour — and For those of you who might be stopping by after visiting with Bre from Rooms for Rent — welcome to Live Laugh Rowe, a celebration of life, creativity and food. Grab a cup of coffee and make yourself at home!
I kinda thought after my Summer Home Tour I wouldn’t do this again {giggle}, but here we are! It is my absolute favorite season and it’s the only season, other than Christmas where I really ‘decorate’. I adore bringing in the natural elements, layering pieces and introducing the old with the new.
As I said before, I have an eclectic style of decorating — bringing in some vintage/rustic inspired pieces paired with transitional style. However, a comfortable, homey space is very important to me. I like warm and cozy, what can I say? So, without further adieu, let’s get started!
In our front room, I don’t do much decorating at all — just a basket of birch and a lantern filled with fall goodness. I have a slight addiction for birch, I’m hoping to plant a birch tree in our backyard next year {squeal}. The lantern is inspired by Pottery Barn. Pinecones and leaves — pure bliss.
I scored this wooden tool box at JoAnn fabrics in the season and I think the gourds were a perfect fit! Paired with a vintage floral frog and old books — it’s a fave spot!
I didn’t do a full room shot of my dining room, but feel free to take a peek at my Summer home tour. In this room, I have a fall vignette on my buffet and my gallery wall (that is a work in progress).
Filling a wooden bowl with apples is the simplest way to add a touch of fall to your space.
Kind of makes me want to go and do some apple picking {wink}.
Isn’t the pallet shutter fantastic!
I had envisioned this with a scrap fabric wreath for the longest time.
It turned out exactly as I had imagined! I’ll share the secret fabric used soooon.
Sooo, I’m still hoping to get my hands on some real deer antlers, but these faux antlers made me swoon — and were incredibly inexpensive. I love the wheat stems in the enamel pitcher too. It makes me think of strolling through a big field on a crisp fall day bundled up in a warm sweater and boots!
Here is my gallery wall – from frames to chalkboards to clipboards, each of these are pieces that symbolize something or speak to me. The feathers and the deer silhouette print are my new fall additions. I had to pat myself on the back with how my chalkboard turned out too. I kinda love this wall.
The sign above the chalkboard is also new — from Prim & Proper Handmade Signs and Home Decor. I loved that statement, “Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.” I also gifted the Be Brave sign to my sister. They are lovely — and make great gifts too!
Moving on to the Living Room… here is where you see a lot more splashes of fall.
To the far left, (see below) is a table with some family pics.
How about the fabulous cotton stems? And did you see the oversized gold acorn?
Our sofa table is sporting some fabulous festive pieces this year.
Below is a brass tray (thrift store find) and my all-time favorite
painted mason jars. I used some popcorn kernels to keep the feathers
from moving around too much in the jar. It all becomes perfectly fall
with pumpkins, dried pumpinos, acorns and gourds!
I’ve been layering grapevine wreaths and vase fillers in glass cylinders for years now.
Make your own using my Fall Decorating Inspired by Pottery Barn tutorial.
I don’t think that piece will every go out of style either… it’s versatile too.
I use cranberries at Christmas time instead of the autumn vase fillers!
Another awesome sauce thrift store find was this wood bowl, made of teak wood.
It’s become a favorite piece of mine! These pumpinos compliment it perfectly.
How about that ever so sweet wooden owl! I love that guy!
And the sweater pumpkin? A Gatlinburg buy from years ago… perfectly eclectic!
Another fabulous layered piece using natural elements.
Hoping to share more details on this soon too…
This wreath is new to my decor this year from The Wreath Depot.
It’s a perfect addition to the fireplace {wink}.
Last, but not least — our every day eating spot in our breakfast room…
I’ve had this centerpiece for years and still love it!
I bought this floral piece at a Michaels a looong time ago
and added a few additional floral stems for a personal touch.
It’s been a favorite ever since! The colors are so incredibly festive!
Since we’re going to end here, care to join me for a bowl of
apple crisp and a cup of coffee? Sounds delicious, right?
THANK YOU so much for stopping by.
