Are we ever to old for a girls night in or sleepover?  Nope!
At least I don’t think so.  We should have fun at all ages.

Here are FIVE movie night must-haves to keep in
mind for you next girls only movie night!

Movie Night Must-HavesEvery now and again my sister and I like to have a sister sleepover.  This particular weekend, we left the dogs with my hubby and enjoyed some laughs, munchies and movies at my sister’s apartment.

We spent a good portion of the day together doing a little shopping — and our final stop before heading to her apartment was the grocery store to pick up some munchies and drinks.  With the movies already at my sister’s apartment, we were ready for a night of memory making!

Movie Night Must-Haves

Have A Plan
Who is coming?  When will it happen?  Where will it be hosted?  Having a plan is best {smile}.  However, sometimes last minute gatherings are just as fun.

Movies
Be sure to chat with friends and/or family to see what movie interests everyone has.  Will you be watching chick flicks, action movies, a comedy or drama?  Or if it’s a family night, will it be the kids choice?

My sister and I chose chick-flicks, of course!  One that we watched was Safe Haven.  Nicholas Sparks is a favorite author of mine.  I love this movie — and I cry every time! #truestory

Munchies
Pick up lots of munchies.  Chips, Popcorn, and candy!  With the heat we’ve been experiencing here in St. Louis, ice cream is also the perfect treat!

We started our night out with nachos…  yum!  We then added a tasty layer of fun to an already exciting event with ice cream.  My sister and I love Snickers bars! So, we picked up a couple of boxes of the Snickers frozen treats by Mars Ice Cream.  Movie Nights are always made better with Mars Ice Cream, right?  YES! {giggle}. 

Movie Night Must-HavesWhy MARS Ice Cream?  Well, it’s REAL ice cream with the delectable chocolate flavor of candy brands we all love.  I think that’s a win-win. 

Beverages

What will it be? Soda and Tea?  Beer and Wine?  Coffee?  Be sure to keep everyone’s preferences in mind.

Comfy Clothes
For me, a true-blue movie night is spent in your pj’s.  HA!  Those are some of my most comfortable clothes — yoga pants, sweats or jersey shorts!  Whatever you consider your comfy clothes to be — be sure to wear them or bring them along.  Be your comfy self as you eat, drink and be merry!

    we are big fans of Dove ice cream bars here…and the closest we come to chick flicks here is Super hero movies (although once in awhile I can get a fix by watching an episode of new girl, nit a movie but about the best I can manage n any given day with 4 guys in the house :p

    Yum! Your movie night sounds like my kind of movie night and great movie choices there too! My daughter’s and I love Movie Nights. We make French Fry stuff (aka loaded french fries with bacon bits, scallions, cheese sour cream and jalopenos) Yumminess!!!!

    I would have to say Dove Bars are our fav! However, we have never tried the Snicker’s bars, so they may rise to the top. We will see???

    there is a local creamery here – you can blend your own, it’s sooooooooo good. i feel like i can’t get enough or a large enough size when we go.

    I love any kind of ice cream! I enjoy a root beer float, a ice cream sandwich, Ice cream pies and cakes, even ice cream in a bowl! My very favorite is coffee ice cream with a chocolate cookie!

    OMG! I am obsessed with the snickers! I literally used to go to the grocery store behind my husband’s back and buy one, eat it there and then act like I never did! hahaha!

    My favorite used to be Blue Bell’s Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream — just like regular cookie dough ice cream but in chocolate instead of vanilla ice cream. I shed a tear when they discontinued it ….
