I have always loved Chrรฎstina Aguilera’s “Fighter” so much! I also love “Home” by Philip Phillips, “Roar” by Katy Perry pushed me through the end of a 5K, “Live It Up” by Group 1 Crew, “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child and other Justin Timberlake, Destiny’s Child, and Group 1 Crew. I lost a great set of playlists when my computer crashed, but I haven’t been working out lately. Hopefully I can recreate them eventually! Thanks for the ideas!

Hi Kelly, I love this post. Six pounds is a great milestone! I am very passionate about exercising and generally staying on top of my weight. Though I have always been a couch potato, I discovered some practical and doable ways to incorporate exercise and healthy eating in my lifestyle. I write about it on the blog too. I want to emphasize that one doesn’t have to become a gym junkie, or get on a specific diet. I think Weigth Watchers is mostly about portion control, and general calorie intake through a variety of food. I am not on WW, but I basically stick to the same principle.
Music is a must for me when I go for a jog– I see it is “me” time, to enjoy my favorite songs (I mostly listen to the band called “Muse”, I am a fan:). Sometimes I also listen to podcasts if I am in the mood for something different.
Kelly Rowe says
Thanks so much Mila! I really appreciate what you shared. I agree, WW is about portion control and calorie intake. It’s always nice to hear from others and their desire for healthy living…and it can be motivational. Muse is a great band! I have only heard a couple of their songs, but I enjoy them. ๐ Have a great evening!! xo.

I am also trying to get moving this year!! (more water, more sleep, more exercise, eating to live – – instead of living to eat). It’s a journey, I wish you great success!

I’m with ya- a workout just isn’t the same without good tunes to keep me motivated. My favorite to jog to is the old school Newsboys “Love, Liberty, Disco” album.
