Today I’m excited to be sharing a peak into our home for upcoming holidays. If you’re joining me from Maison de Pax, WELCOME! I’m so glad you’re here. A big thank you to Ashley of Cherished Bliss and Country Living for hosting this fantastic Christmas Home Tour event!
If I were to be completely honest, I have such mixed emotions about home tours; however, I do enjoy inspiring and my hope is that by sharing my decor, you might find some holiday inspiration. With that being said, I hope you enjoy our Woodland Christmas Home Tour.
When you first step inside, this is your view straight ahead. To the right is our multi-purpose room, where this sweet and simple rustic tree resides.
This tree has paper mache ornaments, galvanized ornaments, birch rounds, wooden ornaments and burlap ribbon. The light from the window isn’t allowing you to see all the details, but some of the wooden ornaments are stained or painted — I am in love with this simple tree. I’m so glad that I was able to replace the tree skirt with a basket collar (or tree basket) this year. I picked this one up at Micheal’s. Swoon!
Let’s move into the dining room…
This room is perfectly rustic with woodland accents. I love how the centerpiece came together too… it’s amazing how greenery, an oversized pinecone and a galvanized star can come together so perfectly.
The rustic vignette on the buffet didn’t change much from last year, I just added some antlers and chippy drawer with some vintage ornaments.
This driftwood tree is an all-time favorite of mine… a TJ Maxx score for sure!
And I can’t forget to show you the gallery wall in here… it’s perfectly eclectic and a piece of artwork in the making. I love that I can add to it, I hope to one day fill the wall!
I love this sled in the corner too… nothing says winter and reminds me of my childhood sledding adventures more thant this piece. And isn’t the silver bell garland on that little tree adorable?
The room most used in our home is the living room…. it’s been getting a bit of a makeover lately, but that’s not what this post is about. However, if you’re a regular reader you might recognize a few of those changes and you’ll win some super big brownie points if you note them in the comments {wink}.
As you can see below, our tree is woodland themed. We have nine foot ceilings, so we’ve had this tall thin tree for years — one day I hope to get a Balsam Hill (a girl can dream, right?).
Notice that I also replaced the tree skirt with the galvanized tree collar here. When you have dogs, these collars are a blessing, especially when one of them loves to play with little tennis balls (we’ve had a few too many close calls. HA!)
Here is a view looking in from our breakfast room. I’m one of those gals who lost the battle of having a TV over the mantle (womp womp womp). We win some and we lose some, right? On the bright side, I do love having a mantle and wood burning fireplace. Sitting in this room with the glow of the Christmas tree lights and a crackling fire is pure bliss.
One of the least expensive Christmas accent pieces you can use in your home decor is pinecones (I pick mine up from nearby neighborhoods or parks) and old books wrapped with red ribbon. I also have a slight pillow problem, so stacking them up on shelves or baskets is a win-win.
I mentioned earlier that we’ve been making some ch-ch-changes in our living room, so while I make some decisions, I’m using an old suitcase as a side table. I have to admit that the bowl of vintage ornaments looks perfect there! That crock bowl was my first purchase at the Wentzville Flea Market for $5. I was super excited to put it to use in my Christmas decor.
And it wouldn’t be a true to life home tour if one of my furry friends didn’t make an appearance…
And last but not least, a peak into our breakfast room… just a couple of quick pics!
Simple, rustic decor with hints of woodland and pops of color. I hope you can share in my love for these things. From our home to yours, we wish you the happiest of holidays, friends!

I really like your wall color. I am looking to paint my home soon and I’m gathering ideas. Do you remember what brand of paint and what color you used?
Thanks!
